Discovering Uses for "junk" DNA
With all the flurry of a side show the evolutionary religionists declared
that DNA contains up to 98% "junk" which they call leftovers from pond
scum to people evolution. Recent findings have shown that this "junk" DNA
is absolutly esssential for the operation of the organism. This "junk DNA
regulates and structures the genes and allows for correct splicing of
exons. It also prevents damage to the introns which can be
disastrous(mutations). For example, deleting four "letters" in the center
of an intron, preventing the spliceosome from binding to it, results in
the intron being included where it will do harm to the organism. These
mutations in introns interfere with imprinting, the process by which only
certain maternal or paternal genes are expressed but not both. These
expressions of both genes result in a variety of diseases and cancers.
Once again the only "junk" appears to be in the minds of the
pseudo-scientists and their lackys claiming that they are the only ones
qualified to be the high priests of evolutionary religion and thus of all
thought.
That seems to be the trouble with these folks-they can't see, probably
because somehow their eyes have not yet fully evolved...

And who discovered that? That's right you ignorant troll, the "evolutionary
religionists" did.
You're arguing in FAVOR of evolution. How's it feel?

In case no one has the link, this is what was reported in nature last
week:

The fact that these sequences are conserved in many species is strong
evidence for common descent.
Evolution happens.

The problem with your touting the discovery above, is that it only is
true if evolution is true.. It makes absolutely no sense if we had
been designed correctly in the first place.
The evidence for evolution is already overwhelming, yet each day more
evidence is found, as you have shown above.

Plus, in fact it is *absolutely* false that "junk dna" is "absolutely
essential for the operation of the organism". Recent findings have only
confirmed what scientists already knew -- that junk DNA can be useful
in aiding more rapid evolution, since ancestral info is preserved and
can be reactivated by single mutations. In reality the term "junk DNA"
is an informal colloquialism used in popular science writing for mass
consumption. However, real scientists never said that the intron DNA
was completely useless. They merely made the factual observation that
it is *non-coding* in the present organism.

Bacteria seem to mange without "junk DNA". We don't know what it does in
higher organisms and it isn't yet technically possible to remove it to see
if the organism is still viable, so we can't answer this.
