I found this in another newsgroup, just by accident. It is, however, a
matter of concern to anybody who isn't a Christian. Whatever they say
to our faces, this is how they see all 'unbelievers', in case you
didn't know.

WE ARE NOT ALONE
About being born broken
To read the Bible in one year, today Read: 2 Timothy 3,4
To Know:
=B3The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and th=

(Gen. 6:5)
A daughter-in-law said to her mother-in-law: =B3Whenever I=B9m around Chr=

I feel as if I am broken and need to be fixed.=B2 Sometimes feeling the n=

to be fixed is our salvation. Some time back I wrote a lengthy article on=
a
broken computer program. All seemed well until the time came to save the

The article never appeared again. All was lost.
Everyone is born spiritually broken. Human beings enter the world in an
already broken relationship with God. This spiritual reality is easily
masked. Good health, material prosperity and a healthy dose of self-esteem
make us feel that all is well, when actually we are broken. Christians cl=
aim
that their relationship with God is repaired. Sin is forgiven. Guilt is
gone. Perhaps the reason that daughter-in-law felt broken in the presence=
of
someone whose life had been repaired was simply the fact that she was. The
will of Christ for his followers is that we manifest to the world what it
means to be mended.
To Do:
The world in which we live pronounces us whole whether or not we really a=

The word of God teaches that we are born broken. When we trust God to
receive us back into his favor by turning from self-trust and trusting Je=
sus
Christ instead we become whole. We do not become immediately perfect. We =
do
not magically shed our sin. When God receives us back, the God -shaped
vacuum in our lives is filled. We were created to live in union with our
maker. When we are one with God in Christ we are indeed truly whole perso=

To Ask:
Father, I accept your verdict and thank you for bringing me back to yours=

It should clarify the open attitude of some Christians, and put that of
the rest into its proper context.
Oh! And Greywolf, You weren't over the top at all.
