Actually, atheists and nonchristian theists don't spend nearly the amount
of time worrying about christians as the christians do about us. They would
be ignored quite happily by all of us as the majority are rude, impolite,
and illogical.

A very few atheists monitor christian ngs - as I do - sometimes just for
the laughs the christians inadvertently provide. For example, the thread
on the "Rapture" was one of the funniest I have ever read. That noted, I
made no comment about it as that is impolite. Other times some atheists
monitor the ngs for the purpose of "cage rattling". None of us post to
christian ngs to "attack god" - who doesn't frequent Usenet (or exist
according to the atheists).

Whereas militant atheists are fighting against the
innate knowledge of suppressed in their hearts.
As a militant atheist I can unequivocally state that there is no time
in your life that you totally disbelieved in God. And -in fact- were
driven to work against the Lord by belief in Him !

question me about my beliefs and cause me to THINK about what I believe and
why. Probably any atheist reading the next will be aghast (horrified,
disappointed... choose your own reaction lol ), but this group has actually
strengthened my beliefs. By encouraging me to think about my beliefs...
and often about points I haven't really considered in any depth... they
help me solidify my beliefs, define them more clearly (in trying to express
what I've been carrying only in my mind). If my self-examination encouraged
by the atheists convinced me I was incorrect, I would discard or modify my
beliefs. Thus far I've had to discard nor modify any of my beliefs.

No horror or disappointment. I don't have to tell you that we have no
problem with your believing whatever you believe. And that we aren't
