desperate need to pray to Woden last Wednesday but could not
find an Odin Chapel in the Yellow Pages so I an getting quite
desperate. I tried crossing my legs but I still need to go and do it.

It is never too late to surrender one's brain to The Darkness.
This morning I tossed a pinch of corn meal to Dawn Boy (the sun),
fed 8 cats, three horses, four goats, four dogs, 30+ chickens, and
assorted billions of dust mites. Then I squeezed milk out of a few
goat tits, put more cedar on the fire, and checked my e-mail via
satellite dish. To me, that *IS* going to church!

Don't forget to go to church in the morning.
Why? Can't you read the Bible and have a personal relationship to spend time
ALONE with God, all by yourself, that you need others or do you need some
other human to teach you HIS interpretations and beliefs?

LOL, gee, ya think? I must admit, I simply LOVE the character. Eloquent in
a vulgar way and terrifying as well.
Still, here I was trying to shoot this guy and the bullets just drifted out
of the gun and fell a foot in front of him! Luckly, this was one of those
dream where you weren't running through quicksand. I got out of there as
fast as I could. I do recall ending up in conversation with Calamity Jane.

But sleep is fifteen-thousand times better! And much more

Yes...we all remember what our dreams were like when we were 16!
***** ! I can't remember what I dreamt last night...let alone 26 years
ago !
LOL! I went to sleep last night with "Deadwood" on the TV in the
background. Consequently my dreams were unduly influenced. Nothing
like having your pistol jam when you're in a gunfight with Al
Swearengen! :)
Don't you find his name rather apt?
LOL, gee, ya think? I must admit, I simply LOVE the character. Eloquent
in a vulgar way and terrifying as well.
I do love what they do with the dialog. Sometimes it's as if Shakespeare
were in a *really foul mood. <g>
Still, here I was trying to shoot this guy and the bullets just drifted
out of the gun and fell a foot in front of him!
Neo Swearengen?
Luckly, this was one of
those dream where you weren't running through quicksand. I got out of
there as fast as I could. I do recall ending up in conversation with
Calamity Jane. Having such vivid dreams can be a blast :)
Not for me. My vivid dreams are always relentlessly downbeat. Especially
back when I was on an SSRI. Fortunately, it's easy to forget dreams.
You know, I like Deadwood but they have irritated me several times by just
up and dropping threads. Like they couldn't think of a way out of a plot
complication so they whipped out a contrived resolution and moved on to
something else.
Sigh. One problem with my push to get the fiction off the ground finally
is that when I am writing, I become increasingly aware of what other
writers do in their work. I can get *really critical. Makes watching TV
difficult. <g>
(Some time back, I commented on the camera work in a show because they did
something that was *really *hard and I was amazed they pulled it off. The
roommate gave me this funny look and said "you appreciate television at a
whole other level than I do." Dryly as he said it, I'm not sure this was
a compliment. Then, again, he also catches me doing things like standing
in front of the TV, running the Tivo back and watching a single scene half
a dozen times or more with the only explanation being "I'm trying to
figure out why that works." I always get one of those "oookay" kind of
looks. <G>)
I'm afraid Deadwood *and Carnivale (after the season opener) are both on
my "you better straighten up and fly right mister" list.
I worry Knauf listened to the critics too much. The first episode of
season two tries "explaining" too much in my opinion. Which could lose the
core audience without satisfying the critics. It's a tightrope he's
trying to walk now. Have to see what he does with it the rest of the
season...

Exactly! Good analogy :)

Sorta. In my dream, I was thinking "What the hell?!?" ;)

LOL, I could imagine it would. I feel the same way when I watch tripe like
"Charmed" or "Buffy". Then again, I guess "real" witchcraft is rather
boring when you get right down to it.

A back-handed compliment? :)

I'm still trying to figure out exactly what the hell is going on in
Carnivale. I mean, I've watched every episode and I just don't get it!

Hopefully I'll be able to figure out what the hell is going on eventually :)
