Are you actually a human being?
Just like you, berry, but a better version. :o)
Nope. See, I'm an Airborne Ranger. You're a little sniveling coward
who had his chance.
BWAHAHAHA.
Let's see, an US Veteran who served in two foreign conflicts versus a
62-year-old biological failure who was too chicken to serve. Hmmm, I
wonder who I will award this point too?
Then again, according to duke, the government ordered him to be a

You will award two points. One goes to berry for carrying a weapon for his
country. I will get one for making the weapon he carried.
The one that will get none in you, chicken little yang, for failing to serve
your country by joining the marines like your friends and becoming a man.

As I said, as a Ranger I doubt you built anything I used. Because a
trained monkey could make a M-16A1. You've always claimed that you
were operating on a higher level than that.
If you were a mere gunsmith, why not enlist, join the Ordinance Corps,

Well....
I would have thought that in the first instance the question that
needs answering is "In the era of the Vietnam draft was there such a
thing as a 'reserved occupation', i.e. you've got a job that's
considered to be 'vital to the national interest' and which exempted
you from military service?".
If so, then "fair enough" on your initial claim, which is to say that
unlike many of your claims, it's not impossible.
As I understand it, if one were by reason of age and sex basically
eligible for the Vietnam draft there were many ways in which one might
become legally draft exempt: some kinds of study, medical reasons,
psychological reasons and so on, and so on.
Quentin Crisp, of course, during WWII got an exemption certificate
that read "Disqualified by reason of sexual perversion".
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0073438/ for details. And well worth a
watch. And while we're at it you might try
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0085492/ for other reasons.
Anyway, as far as I see it, all you need to do to win the debate -
well not so much win, as draw equal - you need to show that "reserve
occupations" existed during the period of the Vietnam draft, and that
you were working in one at the time.
Trivial to do, if that's in fact the case.
But that said, as far as I understand it in this ongoing debate you're
not so much claiming that you happened to be in "reserve occupation"
during the period of the Vietnam draft as by careful implication
implying that you were drafted into a civilian, if DoD related
occupation necessary to the Vietnam war effort.
Which would be *much* harder to prove, but if you could show in
principle that such things happened, i.e. some people were drafted
into DoD related businesses during the time in question, and if you
could that would strengthen your case immeasurably.
But it's not going to happen, is it?

No. Even if it were possible the little man will not do it just as he will
not mention the name of the school he went to. He is afraid people might
find out.
Imagine, being afraid to mention the name of a school you went to 40 years
ago.
His day to day life must be fun.
(Now he'll tell us it is but will not mentions schools or jobs and probably
will be clever and ask for my "real" name again. )

Now mikey, you well know that no one knows your real name or what you do. But
you do hide behind a good story. I'll grant you that.
Mike, are the last three digits of your phone number `612'?
If so, you may inform Duke that it took me four minutes to find
you, using your posts to Usenet together with the White Pages.

Yes they are. I've been telling Earl that it could be done with little
effort by a computer literate person.
But this is the man who's computer became an open relay when he opened an
attachment. He claimed he had acidentally turned off his virus protection
(and ignored comments about a two year old patch that would have stopped the
problem) and neveer could explain why he ignored the warning messages.
Now if you can tell me my dog's name, you get an extra scoop of ice cream.

Aww.... did anybody ever tell you you're kind of cute when you've been

Er, no, he isn't. Although he ought to be, given the amount of practice
he's had.
Well, it's time someone did.

More evidence that Earl functions at a fairly low level.
