Dukkke Dodged the Vietnam Draft? Color Me Surprised! |
Duke32, 'American'-American, the red-blooded rightwing oaf who's all
for others' to go die for the American flag, conveniently skipped out
on his own tour of duty. But then it's just another example of neo-con
chickenhawks who can talk the talk but can't walk the walk. Who else
are you hanging out with, Rush Limbaugh?
Hey, Dukke32, the marine office is still looking for a few good
recruits, why don't you be a man and join them?

I ask because my unit's (167th Signal Company (RR)) base camp was at
"Engineer's Hill" (sometimes called "Pleiku North) which we shared with the

There were only 2 Engineer Brigades: the 18th and the 20th (lots of
people served in both). The 18th covered the Northern Corps: I Corps
and II Corps. The 20th covered the other 2 Corps. I'm saying all this
to let you know that 18th engineers were all over the Northern part of
South Vietnam. I was at Dong Ba Thin (on the coast) and, finally, at
Cam Ranh Bay with the 497th Engineer Company, Port Construction. We
were a large company (almost 300 men) with Engineer Divers, well
drillers, road builders, et cetera. We had men stationed in Bu Prang
on the Cambodian Border, and traveling Well Drilling Detachments, and
we pulled all kinds of assorted duties including what I used to call
Engineer Infantry, doing perimeter patrols, convoy escourt, and
protecting our own work crews. I got as far West as Bu Prang, but
never as far north as you were.

I've been in a couple of "numbered companies" and they were all large. 167th
Sig Co that I mentioned had a MTOE of 348 men. For my first couple months I
was assnt site chief and then site chief of "Det 15" (at Camp Enari, attached
to 4th ID base camp) so you know it was a large company.
One of the guys in my hooch murdered a spider monkey that belonged to the
gate guards on Engineer Hill.
This stupid monkey got into the "GP med tent section that was our roof" (with
wood and screen walls) and - shall we say - "evacuated" itself on this guy.
[Weird setup there: E1-E4 in barracks, E-6's and the one E-7 in another
barracks [with "private" rooms, of course] and all the E-5's in those strange
"hooches".]
Said guy grabbed his rifle (M-14, of course - this was April or May of 1969)
and shot the monkey. Of course - since he had emptied a 20-round magazine -
there was also a little problem with our so-called "roof". Being really nice
folks, of course, we helped the guy move his bunk under the holes in the
"roof".

I never got out of II Corps. Sometimes I think I was the only guy in VietNam
that never saw a rice patty.
<sigh> I think we're about to have another My Lai run . . .

So WHY didn't you enlist, again?
Because he's too much of a coward. Once a chickenhawk, always a
chickenhawk.
What the heck, yang. you're the chicken hawk that rather surf than join the
marines and become a man and join your age group in the defense of our country.
And you're a chickenshit who'd rather make up lies than serve.

Today you admitted writing something you have been denying having written
for several days.
You denied it. I posted the quote and Google reference and you admitted it.

It's different with Duke. Most of the fundies here are consistent and tend
to stay on a topic.
Duke is not consistent, other than being wrong most of the time and does not
stay on topic.
Even his sentence construction and spelling vary over time.
He fixates on an insult and applies it to everybody for a while.
He behaves more like a drunk or somebody with a mental illness that the
normal oddball.
