My Years With Edgar Cayce
The Personal Story of Gladys Davis Turner
Written by: Mary Ellen Carter
"Be wise, not in thine own conceit, but rather in that thyself, thy I AM, may
be counted as one blessed to be the witness of the change that must come in the
approach of man to his Maker: for He would speak AGAIN to His children, will
there be but that channel kept open and ready that there may enter in Him
through whom the approach may again be made in such a manner!
"Help, not hinder, love, not scorn, that channel (Edgar Cayce) through whom
such material manifestations may come!"
What were the "carnal influences" through which changes would be brought for
the spiritual uplife of many?
When she obtained an explanation, not in her own readings but in the 262 series
for the First Study Group, she was told that this was "the re-birth into the
earth of a representative to THOSE WHO WILL LISTEN.
NOT the Christ, NO; for He will appear as He is; but (one who comes) as a
forerunner."
"How will this come about?" Gladys asked, "and through whom?"
The reply was: "To those to whom same has been promised; …"those who had
found "abilities to keep themselves in the manner in which they may bring about
such conditions in the earth."
The readings had pointed out the responsibilities of parenthood and the
possibility among many prospective parents of their attracting great, advanced
souls who would be able to accomplish good.
This statement doubtless referred to a small number of people through whom a
"forerunner" of the Christ might appear. "How should I govern myself, in regard
to the great responsibility I feel in this direction?" she asked in the
reading.
"Act as if in the manner of being a channel for that which to [her] self must
represent that which is held in the Ideal," was the answer.
Thus she might be fulfilled in her sense of responsibility toward this
forerunner, by dedication to her work.

Look, sport, how about peddling this shite in the superstition and
kooks groups.
