I am indeed male, and yes, it is a close call. In fact, I thought about
what you are referring to. Nevertheless, I think eyes first would be worse.
Being disoriented, without sight, and not knowing when the old 'pork and
beans' were going to go would be pretty damn horrific!

I'll second the earlier poster: Worst way to go is eyes first,
testicles second. I mean testicles first is pretty bad, but at least
you have a chance to fight off the eagles. But with eyes gone first,
what chance do you have of defending your testicles, or even seeing the
talons come at you and cringing to minimize the sudden shock of the
pain?
<nit> Oh, and by the way, none of our *direct* ancestors were killed
when so young, so the Subject field is slightly incorrect. </nit>

Good gosh almighty. Just how big a load can eagles carry off? How heavy
was a 3 year-old australopithecus africanus? More mature than one of us
at that age, apparently. Does that mean bigger, also?

Perhaps the child was snatched while still young, and lived among the
eagles for several years, occasionally having pieces snipped off of it.
Sort of like modern Republicans voters and their elected officials.

Googling turned up: Weight: males - 41 kg; females - 30kg at
http://www.lifesci.sussex.ac.uk/teaching/C1014/workshop.htm, so presumabley
the young'uns would also be pretty small.

Ah, thanks. An eagle was seen a few months ago snatching a bear cub,
but a small one capable of walking about might be only four kg. (Big as
my cat.)

australopithecenes would be Desperado to find cover.
I'm sure they would in the Long Run.
This could easily turn into a pun thread, so Take It Easy.
What, you don't have a peaceful, easy feeling about this thread?
Nope, whatever feeling was there is Already Gone.
This thread will probably go on After the Thrill is Gone.
Then let's Take it to the Limit then.
Air your Dirty Laundry if you wish, but don't blame me...
Oh, Get Over It.
Ah, you know you missed this one: There's gonna be a heartache tonight.
