Object: EAP Newsfeed?
I'm in the process of relocating my personal website to a server that
handles ASP. One of the things I want to put out is a list of newsfeeds;
I would download a newsfeed formatted in RSS, transform it to HTML and
present it. That gave me the idea of offering, among a bunch of
"legitimate news sources" (whatever that means in Bush's America), a
newsfeed from the Evil Atheist Press.
I'm thinking I would solicit stories similar to the ones that Elroy and
others have written, pick the ones which meet certain standards (well
written, no direct attacks, things like that), host the full articles on
my site, and present the title, author, publication date and a one
paragraph summary via the EAP RSS. Authors would retain full ownership
of the work as "field reporters" and "special editorialists"; I would be
doing nothing more than acting as publisher for the EAP (NTIE), LLC.
I am NOT soliciting stories at the moment, so don't send me any :-) I'm
interested if there might be enough interest in writing for such a feed
and if you all would be interested in reading and publicizing it once it
is up and running, assuming I can manage one or two new things a week.

I'd contribute some stories from time to time if you decide to give it
a try. The reporters would have to learn RSS, whatever that is?

Nope. RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is nothing more than a standard XML
layout of data used to syndicate material.
By way of example, here is the skeleton of what I will be offering:
http://www.gregory-gadow.info/news/
I'm still working on design and layout, so don't mind the mess. About once a
week, I would manually update the XML page returned by clicking the link on
the news page to include both real stories and ones written for the EAP-RSS.
Real stories will link back to the original article on the web (that's why
this will be a news feed rather than a parody site: no issues of copyright
infringement) and all I'd have to host is a nicely done up HTML version of the
EAP stuff. I may eventually get a domain and run a (pardon the expression)
legitimate parody site, but for now, the news feed will be enough :-)

Do you plan on having ads on the pages to make money, or is this just
a personal project for fun?

For now, just fun. If I decide to create an EAP "news desk", I'll probably look for
funding.
