Editorial: Scientists don't buy intelligent design |

Opposition to the current state science teaching standards on evolution is
expressed in the "minority report" drafted by eight of the 26 members of the
State Board of Education standards writing committee.
Their alternative draft is posted on the Kansas State Department of Education
Web site (www.ksde.org). Also posted are peer reviews of the minority report by
10 mainstream scientists.
Taken together, the scientists' reviews amount to a unanimously critical
assessment of the minority report and intelligent design. Following are
excerpts from the scientists' statements:
