ELLEN JOHNSON ON FOX NEWS "CHRISTMAS" TO DEBATE
PRAGER, DISCUSS FIRST AMENDMENT SEPARATION
Ellen Johnson, President of American Atheists will be a guest on
the FoxNews network "Christmas" Day, December 25, 2003 beginning
at 11:30 AM ET. She will debate prominent news columnist and
writer Dennis Prager concerning the First Amendment and how it
applies to the "Christmas" holiday season, especially with regard
to government endorsement of religion and religious displays.
The Fox Network has carried numerous program segments suggesting
that secularists are "at war" with Christianity and "Christmas."
Ms. Johnson argues that seasonal events at this time of year
should be a strictly private matter, and that government has no
business endorsing or supporting religious observance.
