obvious. The difference between atheists and theists is that theists
believe in something for which there is no evidence. Most atheists I know
would be happy to become theists if some evidence of the existence of a
god were to emerge. Theists, on the other hand, seem unwilling to abandon
their belief, and prefer to rationalize them instead.

infinite number of things that have no evidence of existing. That china
teapot orbiting the Sun, for example. I don't have time to believe in

intend for them to mean. For centuries, the word atheist has been defined
by non-atheists as something vile. The structure of the word indicates
that it means, literally, "absence of belief in god(s)." If you want to
use a more restricted definition, be my guest.

The hypocrisy of "True christians" (tm) never ceases to amaze me.
The Atheist oriented groups get pounded by multiple self
proclaimed christians with their inane proselytizing, yet let one
Atheist post a link on a christian site and they throw a
temper tantrum.
Why is it proper, encouraged, and rewarded, when christians are
rude, but it's not OK for an Atheist to post a link? I guess that
such rude behavior is expected of christians.

Well, Mr. B is an atheist, in case you haven't noticed. And two wrongs
don't make a right. I happen to feel the same way about the proselytizer
for atheism, Bill, who loves to start flame wars under the guise of
"teaching them a lesson". Atheism cannot be taught, it has to be
discovered on your own. And it has been my understanding through
observation, that a Christian cannot learn anything about it until he
himself overcomes his own indoctrination, ie brainwashing.
