Watched part of this last night. I don't personally agree
with every detail, but it was a powerful show! I would
recommend ordering the DVD when it becomes available!
One of the interesting points, which I'll have to research
more in depth, as far as the timing, etc., is that they state
that the Pharaoh at the time of the Exodus was "AHMOSES".
Interestingly enough, in Hebrew, it means, "the brother of
Moses". This Pharaoh AHMOSES also had a son who died
young. The son, according to them, was 12 years old when
he died. I don't think one can be quite that exact, but it isn't
a mystery that he was a child when he died. :)
They also found a sele (sp?) that shows the dividing of
the waters, etc..
If nothing else, it will show some definite evidence for
the Exodus, as described in the Bible, right down to
evidence of the plagues.
It will be on again, on August 24, at 8 P.M. EST,
on the History Channel and it is two hours long.

I watched as well. It *was* a pretty impressive argument for the Exodus. I'm
from the school that says if it's true, it's true. I'd like to see what the
'other' side has to say about all this.

Haven't seen it as of yet, however, there is some miss information in the Pastor Dave post.
1. The name is Ahmose, first of the 18th dynasty rulers.
2. Along with Ahmose are Thutmose I II III and IV, all 18th dynasty rulers.
3. If they are relying on names, there are five Pharaoh's to choose from.
4. How come this name does not appear anywhere in the bible?

Further information, (Google is your friend)
The name Ahmose appears in several places. First up she, SHE, was the wife of Tuthmosis I, 1504-1492BCE
The actual Pharaoh Ahmose I became ruler probably about the age of ten, and only ruled for some 25 years. In that time however he freed Egypt from the Hyksos. (Sort of an ethnic cleansing type thing from what I read) His given birth name was, get this, Ah-mose or The Moon is Born. Gee, nothing there about Brother of Moses.
Ref: AhmoseI http://touregypt.net/featurestories/ahmose1.htm
Ahmose wife of TuthmosisI http://touregypt.net/who/Ahmose.htm
Hyksos http://touregypt.net/featurestories/hyksos.htm
Funny how everything I've found so far, does nothing to support the Exodus story in the least. Obviously, the show is very biased in nature.

It didn't happen, fuckwit. No matter how much you dumb christians
toss your straws in the air and screech, 'Look! See!'. It's still
stupid religion.
There is not a single empirical trace of it happening.
The exodus is another lame Ark hunt.
How pathetic is it when you moronic believers are reduced to using
the same evidence gathering as, Crop Circles, the Bermuda Triangle and
Chariots of the Gods?

<SNIP>
There was no such Pharoah as "Ahmoses". They are probably talking about
Ahmose I. He was the founder of the 18th dynasty who regained control of
the Nile delta from the Hyksos invaders who had conquered that area and
other parts of lower Egypt. The Exodus story doesn't jibe with anything
known about the rule of Ahmose I.

Moses is an incomplete name meaning son of (a god) It is unlikely that AH
means brother but since Pharaohs were gods it might be a gods name and
indeed a web search reveals that there is a moon god named AH.
I recorded it last night but as soon as somebody with no credentials starts
talking about what everybody missed I get suspicious.
