Object: Eyes On Jerusalem. Pt. 57.
As of June 9, 2006:
Current status of Iran's nuclear agenda: Green light!
-------------
In further developments: Iran starts 2nd round of enrichment!
Iran began to enrich a second batch of uranium in its research plant
this week on the same day that world powers offered it an incentive
package conditioned on its suspension of nuclear activities.
The timing of the nuclear work, which Western diplomats suggested was
politically calculated, appeared to signal that Iran would fight to
continue enriching uranium despite the demands by the global community.
(Yeah, like duh.)
Alert!
Iran continued to spin its 164-centrifuge cascade, but without the gas,
at its pilot plant at Natanz in the desert. The spinning of
centrifuges -- with or without gas -- is a key technological exercise.
It is crucial for engineers to be sure that the centrifuges will spin
stably and consistently before undertaking large-scale enrichment.
*Iran has plans for an industrial-scale enrichment plant at Natanz,
with 50,000 to 60,000 centrifuges!!!*
Groundwork has begun for the facility which can be completed by the end
of the year!
-------------
Do we continue the talks, or do we send in a missile now? Not an easy
question to answer. If we stay with talking, Iran completes their
nuclear work. If we send a missile, that could trigger a third world
war.
Perhaps this is the way to approach the situation: Consider what a
Democrat in the White House would choose to do.
Then just do the opposite. :-)

Is that why Bush is offering talks and technology transfers to Iran?
