What do you think the "great white throne" means in modern-day
theist speak?
It used to be a reference to some imaginary throne that the planet
Zeus/Jupiter was supposed to sit on up there in the sky, and he was
depicted as sitting on a throne in the temples dedicated to him in
Greek and Roman societies..
Interestingly, some of the thrones depicted in the various artworks
were black, and some were white...
Which color throne do you think is appropriate for an all-powerful
god these days? White, black, or perhaps gray?

There was a godlike chieftan who liven in a thatched hut. He was worshipped
by his tribe. The throne was a very ornate work of art, but when the
missionaries converted the tribe, the chieftain decided to put it in the
attic, since he wanted to show his humility, but couldn't bring himself to
part with a beautiful family heirloom. One day as he was eating dinner, the
throne fell through the ceiling and killed him.
Moral: He who lives in grass houses shouldn't store thrones.

Is invisible non-existent a color? It matches god's complexion.

Falling Crucifix Kills Woman
Wed Sep 22, 8:21 AM ET
ROME (Reuters) - A 67-year-old woman was killed when a three-meter
tall metal crucifix fell on her head in a small southern Italian town
on Wednesday, police said.
The cross, which has been in the main square on Sant'Onofrio for
decades, fell on Maddalena Camillo while workers were setting up
lights for an annual religious festival.
Italy, home to the Vatican City, is a predominantly Roman Catholic
country where crucifixes and religious icons and effigies are a common
sight in most towns and villages.

It's a very bad omen.
It was, for the poor old dear, it landed on: I'll bet she didn't see
it coming.

Somewhat similar, yes...

"BOSTON (EAP) - A cross of Jesus was responsible for the death of a
Boston man yesterday after it came loose from a church wall and struck
the man dead while he was preaching to his congregation at The Holy
Church of Mary in east Boston."
A case of reality imitating fiction, as such... :)

I think the following tidbit from my story says it all...
"We all love Jesus so much, and we just wanted to have a big cross of
him on our church wall. It was a beautiful cross, and so life like,"
she said. "There was even blood coming out of Jesus's wounds, and
it was simply wonderful!"
Sheesh...

Yeah. I can just hear the priest at her funeral. "Jesus loved her and
wanted her to be with him so much that he came and fetched her
himself".

Science has been doing it for a couple of centuries, it's about time
religion had a turn.
Dammit, they have been asserting it for long enough.
