Falujah- a desecration of the living?

In the conflict between US Imperial-terror and Iraqi resistance-terror
both sides show their contempt and 'desecration 'for the living and
the dead. The game plan of the Cheney-Bush junta is to clobber
together a team of Iraqi collaborators who will rubber- stamp a
process leading to the privatization of Iraqi oil assets. US
plutocracy can salivate with the Iraqi oil prize loosely between their
teeth but can they swallow it without letting it get away?
Without 'terror' directed at the Iraqi population, challengers to the
'legitimacy ' of the collaborators decrees would be coming loud and
fast. The method adopted by imperial-terror is a general 'desecration
of the living' achieved by rules of engagement that permits that use
of excessive firepower to be directed in the direction of 'perceived'
resistors knowing full well that civilians will be also killed in the
process. The euphemistic jargon for 'indiscriminant terror' is
'overwhelming force'.
The current imperial-terror campaign justified on the basis of the
'desecration' of 4 US bodies, has resulted in 50 to100 civilian
victims in recent days, with probably hundreds more to follow. The
pattern of 'terror' as a weapon previously established is merely an
escalation rather than anything new. From the shooting of protestors,
journalists to the random targeting of civilians and now to whole
cities, pacification by imperial-terror aims to stop dissidence of any
kind. When dissident voices are not heard but only the 'approved'
organs of occupation, the 'hearts and minds' of the Iraqi population
can be claimed to be in unison with the desires of its appointed
collaborators. US imperial-terror that brings a desecration of the
living on a daily basis scarcely rates a 'terror' label in the
plutocratic press.
The strategy adopted serves its intimidating terrorist function, while
escaping any moral tests by expressions of ' regret for the civilian
casualties', the more vicious acts of imperial-terror described away
as 'accidents' by the plutocratic press. In order to get public
support for the war Bush has to keep the US casualties at a minimum,
so the tactics of loose targeting and the 'desecration of the living'
work in the short term. In the longer term it aids the resistance as a
growing bands of the disaffected coalesce in opposition to
neo-imperial rule.
The plutocrats have attempted to achieve their heist of Iraqi oil on
the cheap. The minimum number needed to provide security for the 5-10
years of 'pacification' by imperial-terror in Iraq is probably between
180 to 250 thousand so the Cheney-Bush junta will need a
reintroduction of the draft and increased taxes to support that
effort. Washington can forget 'internationalizing the heist'- the
international effort is in 'cut and run' mode from the Cheney-Bush
junta's deceit over WMD - Spain and Australia will be out by Christmas
with the election of anti-war governments who have seen through the
Cheney-Bush moral charades. Imperial-terror campaigns just can't be
victorious on the cheap when one's resistance enemy is a cut above the
ignorant illiterate savage and there is no natural minor indigenous
group that one can trust to collaborate as when Saddam was on the US
payroll, during the Iran-Iraq war.
The war is ultimately lost when the popular will of the US public
weight up the likely success of the proposed Cheney-Bush oil-junta's
heist of Iraqi oil assets via privatization and the cost in US
casualties, money, trade, and international reputation. Further
'desecration of the living' in Iraq increase the long term prospects
of a general insurrection, as the population realize the incompetence
of the USA in clobbering together a coalition of the 'Iraqi willing'
that will simultaneously rubber stamp the oil-asset privatization, and
provide the level of security necessary to achieve it.
Plutocrats are playing a shell game where they get most of the carrots
and the masses get the stick- war, taxes and debt and a pat on the
head for protecting plutocratic 'freedom' to plunder. When the 'what's
in it for us' question is asked by the masses, the answer will be -
erosion of your liberty, war without end, plus billions of public debt
around your necks. This will be true both for the Iraqi and US masses-
as US plutocracy runs amuck in the world to serve its own interests
irrespective of the consequences.
In the meantime the 'desecration of the living' will continue as the
Iraq quagmire reaps its toll and the world at large gives plutocratic
'imperial-terror' a free hand to do what it likes while pretending
that 'resistance-terror' is the sole source of its misfortunes.
