This is not "circumcision", to use that word is to lessen the
brutality of the crime. It is Female Genital Mutilation (FGM).
FGM is not equal to removing the foreskin of the male. Rather,
it is the equivalent of cutting off the head of the penis, the
foreskin AND the "purple helmet". We wouldn't stand for having
such a barbaric act being performed on boys, so why do we
tolerate it being done to girls?
Let's call it what it is: abuse, torture, mutilation and sexual
assault.
