I do believe in Intelligent Design. I do not believe the Earth is only
6,000 years old. If you will look in the Book of Job, it talks of Creation
as a time when the "Sons of God sang for joy." Those can not be Angels.
Those has to be literal Sons. Why? In the New Testament, it speaks of God
never calling an Angel a Son. Even in Psalms. So I subscribe to a "Cyclic
Earth" Theory: That all this has happened before, Before the Creation,
before this current Cycle. There is nothing new under the Sun. That at the
Creation, Earth already was, because it was without form and void. A
Carpenter is only as good as the materials He has to work with. Also,
Peakes Commentary on the Bible says that the word "Created" in Genesis means
to "Carve out," not a literal create out of Nothing. How many Cycles the
Earth has had, only God knows, but I think its funny how finite Man tries to
find out the way of God. They are very mysterious. You, my friend need to
read and study more.

The absolute most funny part is...
I actually do believe in some sort of intelligence behind all this
Mystery Of Life and all that rots beneath it and such and stuff.
Thees ID nerkles simply don't plain have a clue how said Intelligent
Design may just plain be responsible for all those non-existent fossil
evidences and such and stuff.
It really cracks me up to see the Jelly Beans jump and squirm when
their cherished belief systems crumble.
*****! I don't know how any and/or all this stuff got here any better
than the rest do.
Belief? A Dying Prospect! If you ask/Axe me.
Who Fucking Cares Where All This Miracle Came From?
It's Live! maybe
It's Real!! maybe
It's Happening Now!!! maybe
WHO CARES?
Usenet sure doesn't have enough fucking bandwidth to explore what we as
the NOW EXISTENT HUMYN RICE can come up with in its lame
discom'BOB"ulated disunderstander of what really really.
Scientists are at least honest enough to say, "WE ARE NOT SURE, YET.
but here is what we experience and can measure so far with our limited
lame-***** tool fabricated from eons of gathered experience."
I have no freakin' clue what 'the other side' has to say.
But, I do hear a sense of sticking to guns built in 4000 DC... or
before.
THE KING TOLD ME TO SAY THIS SO I BELIEVE!!!
DOH!
whatever, doofusses.
Until you can prove there isn't three moons arond pluto, a planet you
disavow having ever existed in the first place, and you can tell me how
the phases of the moon work in conjunction with your false calendar,
and you can prove to me the Earth is flat and the sun rotates around
her, despite my own experiencial measurements to the contrary.
JESUS SAVES!
Well. Okay.
Jesus Saves SHEEP!!!

The trouble is that since we haven't even come up with a reliable
universal definition of human intelligence, when we speak of divine, or
even just nonhuman intelligence, everybody has a different definition
in mind. When a crow figures out that a scarecrow is harmless, is he
being intelligent, or just doing what comes natural to him? Similarly,
when cosmic rays pass through a magnetic field and create matter, is
that intelligent planning or just a neat property of physics?

Not realy, I worship NO so called GOD, it's all nothing but BS made up by
the Mind of Men to try and CONTROL other men's thinking and actions.

Like it or not we ALL worship something. You have chosen science, even
though you are unwilling to admit it. You put your trust in it, you feel it
is the answer to life.
That is so inane. Science is a method by which we can gathering and
collate information about the physical universe. It isn't something
to worship.
The problem is that you can't imagine anyone who doesn't worship
because you can't imagine that you could live that way. Your
projection doesn't determine how I act. Get over it.

Many...freely confess that they believe what it makes them
feel good to believe. Evidence doesn't play much of a role.
They are alleviating their fear of randomness by identifying
regularities that are not there. - Murray Gell-Mann

Wasted effort, I'm afraid.
Stupus is among that sad lot who've drunk so deeply from the Holy Kool-Aid
that they simply cannot imagine life without "believing" in something.
Strangely, these same people will insist to their dying breath that they
know more about what belief is than atheists, often conflating it with
knowledge.

You must be very proud of your personal definition of 'worship'. Why not
join the rest of the English-speaking world and use their words, instead
of your own.

"... There's glory for you."
"I don't know what you mean by 'glory,'" Alice said.
Humpty Dumpty smiles contemptuously. "Of course you don't--till I tell you. I meant 'there's a nice knock-down argument for you!'"
"But glory doesn't mean "a nice knock-down argument," Alice objected.
"When I use a word," Humpty Dumpty said, in a rather scornful tone, "it means just what I choose it to mean--neither more nor less."
"The question is," said Alice "whether you can make words mean so many different things."
"The question is," said Humpty Dumpty, "which is to be master--that's all."

You have a very, very odd twist on the meaning of worship there.

This is exactly why Humpty Dumpty is mentioned so often in discussions
between Christians and atheists.

I wonder how many of the Christians who have Humpty Dumpty quoted at
them have any idea why.
