In my email this morning:
The Davis article about Mitchell v. Helms looks like a good one.

The
quickest way to extinguish religion may be simply to let the majority
have its way here - let the de facto establishment of an official
religion continue, which will surely remove any notion of the sacred
from religion. I am pleased to see O'Connor and Rehnquist start down
the path declaring "thou can take the name of god in vain - it's just
historical and ceremonial." I don't look for any official sanction for
my religious beliefs, so I don't care if official churches just
disappear into the mist. I would think the official churches would be
screaming against any notion that god is mere history or ceremony. So
far their silence is deafening.
Rob Boston's book actually thanks you and your site in his book, and
some parts track the site pretty closely. I haven't checked the
footnotes to make sure he's attributing you correctly, but maybe I would
if I was a copyright lawyer :) You are linked all over the web and you
should be proud of the site you've put together. Someone should fund
you, in my view - have you ever sought foundation funding or some sort
of "tenured funding" from a university that would allow you to pursue
the research under your own steam - and maybe give you research
assistants?
