I am curious about brekdown of american society. I know in recent
american election, halfs of the people voted for Bush.
Is that mapping to the religious view of usa well? Was atheist more
against Bush, or was it same on both sides?
(sorry about english, new to usa)

Lets explore this topic a bit further shall we. Of the registered voters in
the last presidential cycle approximately 50% voted for Bush and 50% for
Kerry. But only 60% of the eligible registered voters exercised their
franchise and voted. So, therefore, 40% of registered voters didn't vote at
all, and half of those that did vote voted for Kerry and half for Bush, from
this point of view Mr. Bush's "Mandate" came from just 30% of the registered
voters. What the exact percentage of Mr. Bushes 30% of the registered
voters that are conservative/religious right I am not sure, I seem to recall
a number of about 4% to 6% but I could very easily be wrong about that
number.
So in simple terms it appears that we have the 40% of registered voters to
thank, that set on their butts election day, for having to deal with another
4 year term with Mickey Mouse / Steam Boat Willy at the helm of the ship of
state.
At present, in my judgment, the Captain appears to have run into every snag
and sand bar on the damn river. The ship is taking on water pretty dang fast
and damn near foundering from all the abuse. What's that up ahead you say,
another snag, hells bells, full speed ahead, mustn't change course, we must
say the course no matter what the cost, maybe we can tear the damn keel
right out of her before sinks outright. From what I've read Dubya was a
mediocre pilot in the air, and it seems he isn't doing any to much better
piloting the ship of state! The first mate seems to be down in the gambling
saloon stealing from the passengers, taking bribes from the crew, and
skimming the till all at the same time. It seems the ship is crewed by
liars, thieves, cheats, cutthroats, and general Nair-do-wells, and the ship
of state as well.

what you say is:
6% of people aer very regious and voted bush. In outside usa, bush

Is that strange?

I did a google search using the phrase
"atheists vote bush kerry"
and came up with a number of interesting
articles. If they're all like this one:
http://www.gcc.edu/alumni/vvconcise/2004/Nov_11_04_Kengor.html
the answer to your seems to be:
1) atheists constitute a minority of voters
2) a majority of atheist voters chose Kerry (about 68%
to 30% for Bush)
Which is not at all surprising to me.

These maps here:
http://www.princeton.edu/~rvdb/JAVA/election2004/
are a more accurate representation of the geographic USA in the 2004
elections. As you can see, it's neither red nor blue, but mostly
purple.
But still, to answer your question, there is a *rough* correlation
between conservative religious areas in the USA and areas that voted
for Bush/Cheney. This does not mean, however, that those areas voting
against Bush/Cheney were atheist. Atheists make up no more than 15% of
the population, maybe less. The so-called "blue" areas of the map are
made up primarily of urban centers (demographically liberal) and
religious liberals.

If this newsgroup is anything to go by, very few atheists support Bush.
