So, Kurt Vonnegut didn't do good by volunteering for combat duty in
World War II and serving as a scout in the 106th Infantry Division?
How about when, after his sister died of cancer, he adopted her three
children? He has also funded several scholarships for writers, and is
always willing to chat with fans (He autographed my copy of
Slaughterhouse 5 with his name, a self-portrait, and a short note.)
That's one atheist who has done good works.
