Former CPS counselor Preston Carbary is on trial for the alleged rape of
one of his former patients.
COLVILLE -- Former Child Protective Services counselor Preston Carbary
has been found guilty on three counts of rape of one of his former patients.
The jury reached the verdict late Wednesday night after several hours of
deliberations in the case that involved allegations from the fall of
2004 that Carbary, who was a mental health counselor for CPS, had raped
the victim in her home on three separate occasions in November of 2004.
At the time he had been providing counseling services to the victim and
her family in Colville.
The trial began on Tuesday and went to the jury Wednesday afternoon.
