Former homosexual has mixed reviews for Mohler's column on 'gay gene'
Former homosexual Stephen Bennett says a recent column by the
president of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary regarding
homosexuality was both disturbing and brilliant. He suggests the
comments by Dr. Albert Mohler, Jr., not only ignited a firestorm of
controversy but also turned the tables on the debate over
homosexuality in America.
In a column on his blog, Dr. Mohler cited research showing that some
sheep were homosexual. He also said researchers are using the sheep to
see if there is a homosexual gene, and possibly a cure for the same-
sex attraction. Mohler wrote that Christians should be prepared to
respond if a so-called "gay" gene is ever found in humans.
Stephen Bennett is a former homosexual who now heads up Stephen
Bennett Ministries in Connecticut. Bennett, who spent 11 years living
a promiscuous homosexual lifestyle before being delivered from that
through a relationship with Christ, says while Mohler's column was
full of science fiction, it also has turned the tables in the debate
over homosexuality.
"This is the very first time," he notes, "[that] the tables now have
come into the Christian arena where Christians have suggested the
possibility" of a "gay" gene being discovered. "But what enraged the
homosexual activists was this whole idea that if there is [such] a
gene, then that gene can be possibly corrected by a patch or by
something else," he continues. According to Bennett, many homosexual
activists reacted by "crying 'Holocaust' all over again."
Bennett says while the article had many solid points, it also was
problematic. He explains that it leaves open to discussion the premise
that because a certain percentage of sheep engage in homosexual
activity, the same thing is going to happen with mankind.
"But the thing we need to realize," says Bennett, "is then that pushes
the bar of now going into the evolution arena -- which [Mohler] didn't
mention."
Mohler has released a second column, in which he points out that there
is no scientific evidence linking homosexuality with biological
causes. He says the article was written to warn people that the
discovery of a genetic link to homosexuality may result in an increase
in abortions.
The Baptist seminary president writes that the liberal commitment to
unrestricted abortions could be in conflict with the liberal
commitment to the normalization of homosexuality. In addition, he has
reiterated his belief that God's Word states homosexuality is a sin --
regardless if a scientific link is ever found.

That's like "former male" or "former human". The date fits, though,

It's JYoung getting imaginary messages from the dead again.
How else could he be a 'former homosexual'?

Former homosexual has mixed reviews for Mohler's column on 'gay gene'
Another Sunday alone, J Young? Time for your obsession with
homosexuality?
Tell us something, Mr. closet-gay, why do you care so much about other
people's private lives?
Is it because you don't have any?
