FREE WILL & OMNIPOTENCE ARE IMPOSSIBLE |
There is a problem with the theist idea that free will and omniscience are
compatible.
If individuals were free to capriciously create their own behavior on the
spur of the moment, that would rule out the hypothetical omnipotent,
omniscient creator; since it is not physically possible to foresee precisely
what the capricious unpredictable (free will) behavior of such an individual
would be in advance of the actual event.
If God knows what individuals are going to do in the future, than they
cannot have free will. If God knows what individuals are going to do in the
future he should prevent them from sinning and injuring others.

Free will doesn't exist.
Omnipotence is myth.
Your reaction was explainable, totally, based on
your genes, the stimuli you've been exposed to
'til now (inclusive of your life experiences, not
the least of which was the post you overreacted
to), and your random brain activity.
Your next reply, being that you appear to have
emotional issues, not likely to be an improvement
over your initial ones, but nevertheless, however
you reply, it is totally explainable apart from the
myth of 'free will', and the absurdity of the notion
there is an omnipotent being constrained in as-
sorted ways by religious dogma.

We feel like we are making free decisions, but (you claim) this is an
illusion, is that about right? Our decisions are really the result of
matter following natural law. But if that were true then that undercuts
the idea that we have any real *understanding* of the laws of nature;
our understanding would be likewise illusory. But given that we have no
reason to trust the idea that our feeling of free will is illusory, we
have no reason to reject our initial belief that free will is in fact
the truth.

We feel like we have free will, so you must be saying that our feelings
wrt free will are an illusion, presumably because our reactions are
merely the result of matter following the laws of nature. but if we can
be wrong about somehting so basic as having free will, then there seems
to be no reason to trust *any* of what our brain tells us, which would
mean we ought to distrust the belief that our actions are totally
explainable by genetics + stimuli. So your claim, if true, ought to be
disbelieved. And if the claim is false it also ought to be disbelieved,
since you ought not believe false things. Thus, in all cases the claim
ought to be disbelieved.

Given that premise prove the next declaration:
Omnipotence is myth.
