Fuckabee Wants to Replace the US Constitution With the Bible |
According to a story at www.rawstory.com
http://tinyurl.com/2yaudb
The Republican poster-boy for clueless just doesn't grasp what
"separation of church and state" means.
"I have opponents in this race who do not want to change the
Constitution," Huckabee told a Michigan audience on Monday. "But I
believe it's a lot easier to change the Constitution than it would be
to change the word of the living god."
Check out Fuckabee's picture. Those wild eyes, the over-sized ears,
the red splotches...you can almost see the spittle collecting.

If they're going to trash the bible the same way they trashed the
Constitution, I'd say, let them! We don't have a Constitution any more, so
what have we got to lose?
Fuckabee's picture can make an excellent pest-control tool, just post it in
the infested areas, and you'll see instant results!

He knows his base.
He _is_ his base.

enough to even read the Constitution?

People that call themselves Christians, and want to establish a
theocracy in the US, haven't read their bibles or our Constitution.

True. Most of the fundies around here know less about the bible than
most atheists.

But of course! A careful reading of the bible is the best
antidote to xianity. I actually deconverted a Catholic neighbor by the
simple expedient of challenging him to read the entire bible and
converse with me about his readings. My neighbor Jim still has a half-
assed belief in a Supreme Being or some kind of "higher power, but he
is no longer Christian. He no longer believes that most of the bible
was written by sane human beings, let alone inspired by God. He told
me that he was utterly astonished to learn what the bible actually
says.

I know. When I was in Catholic school, we never studied the bible. Now I
know why. The first time I read it, I was astonished at just how sick a
book it was.

Ugh!
I'm not convinced that Huckabee is going to get there, but it really
depends on whether he self-destructs! I think Romney is in with a
good chance of getting the nod since he'll likely be viewed as the
least worst of what's available. despite his Mor(m)onism, the
religious willr ally round him if he keeps nosing ahead.
McCain is creeping back again but I don't know if he has the legs to
keep up. I actually don't feel so bad about him now that he's
apparently wised-up to the reality of Evolution and I'd certainly
prefer him over the out-and-out religious nuts, but I don;t trust him
on Iraq.
It's looking like there are three big runners on both sides of the
fence and it's probably going to be down to "Super Tuesday" to tell
them apart. Ho-Hum!
