Some religion experts say that while it is clear that religiosity is on
the rise, there may be a rising backlash against violent fundamentalism
of any faith.

The fundamentalists are also reacting to this backlash. That's what
won Bush the 2004 election.

Fundies aren't what got Bush re-elected, Kerry is what got Bush re-elected.
When will we have a president that is a democrat? When we get a candidate
that the majority of people will vote for.

But rj, that view requires Democrats to take responsibility for their
own failure. That's totally unacceptable!

You got me there! (:>)
I have always said that when the Democrats nominate a good candidate that
the majority of people will vote for, we will have a democratic president.
It is a rather simple idea really but one that seems to escape some
people.
No one seems to comment on the near total lack of political trolling on
Usenet since the elections. There was all manner of usenet spam before
the election and now there is almost none. It would be nice to see some
statistics regarding this and better yet, who was doing it.

That is because we are all hoping that if no stupid *****, mentions it, no other
stupid ***** will feel duty bound to resurrect it.
