Fundy Liar Dobson Lies For Pedophile Buddy Mark Foley |
Fundy moron James Dobson is heavily touting the spin that this
whole Foley thing was a "prank" played by the pages. The recent evidence
that Foley did actually did have sex with one of the pages, among other
things, puts the lie to that nonsense. But even without that
information, the "prank theory" flogged by Dobson makes no sense in the
first place. Think about it. If the pages played a "prank" on Foley by
pretending to be gay and talking to Foley online then Foley would be no
less guilty of trying to solicit them for sex. The claim that the pages
were joking is entirely immaterial here. The issue is what Foley did and
nobody seriously thinks that he was joking. Furthermore, if the pages
played a prank and got Foley to respond with offers of sex, they had an
obligation to report it, both morally and legally, so Dobson's little lie
gets him nowhere.
Dobson's previous lie that Foley was more "honorable" than
Clinton, who refused to resign over the Lewinsky scandal, has likewise
been thoroughly debunked via the revelation that Foley cut a sweetheart
deal to leave (rather than being removed) in order to keep his
$100,000/year congressional pension. So "honor" had nothing to do with
Foley's resignation. He would have been tossed out on his ***** if he
didn't leave, so Foley took the easy route by just bugging out with a
nice little golden parachute. If the repugs had been smart, they would
have made no deal with Foley, but rather made an example of him. That
would have at least given the appearance that they give a ***** about the
issue.

Strange that Tony Perkins, the head of the Family Research Council,
would know about Foley and Dobson would be in the dark.....read this

when they saw that Mark Foley was spending an inordinate amount of time
hanging around pages, just seemingly too interested in them? Is that
enough for action?
PERKINS: Yes, I think there is, because in talking to some pages, you
know--I've had people now on staff that used to be pages, and it was
***widely known*** to watch out for him, that he liked boys.

Ah, but it does make sense. Don't you understand? Foley is not
"really" gay, he was just tempted by those evil nubile young things.
Dobson is just blaming the victim as best he can.
