GA Amendment Recognizes 'Human Being' from Moment of Fertilization |
More and more each day, it appears the efforts of the pro-life movement are
paying dividends.
http://www.covenantnews.com/abortion/archives/028649.html
In an apparent challenge to the Supreme Court opinion Roe v. Wade, on March
20, 2007, Georgia lawmakers introduced the following Resolution (HR 536) to
amend the state Constitution: "A RESOLUTION proposing an amendment to the
Constitution so as to provide that the paramount right to life is vested in
each human being from the moment of fertilization without regard to age,
race, sex, health, function, or condition of dependency; to provide for
submission of this amendment for ratification or rejection; and for other
purposes."

Um, not so much. In spite of decades of ceaseless propaganda on the
part of anti-choicers, most Americans do not want Roe v. Wade
overturned; most Americans are either happy with abortion laws as they
are or want them liberalized further; and most Americans have an
unfavorable opinion of anti-choicers.
Hey, anti-choicer, you don't have to hide nothin' no more,
You didn't do nothin' that hadn't been done before,
Anti-choicers thought they wouldn't get caught, you see,
They thought they'd get away with putting things over on me, yeah,
Neo-cons did it, you didn't think of nothin' new,
You went and spouted lies, so neo-cons did it too,'
You can leave, anti-choicer, I don't want you 'round no more,
If you come knockin', you won't get past my door... yeah,
You got nothin' to hide and everybody knows it's true,
Too bad, anti-choicer, it's all over for you... ha-ha-ha-ha!!!

Why do you try to accuse pro-lifers of such when we all know it is the gays

Ridiculous. Why do you try to accuse pro-lifers of such when we
all know it is the gays and pro-choicers who are such

How on earth do you always find a way to talk about homosexuality

Ignored pro-choice this time?
Why? That's the topic. I'm pro-choice, you're not. Case closed.

I doubt this one will fly, or if it does, stand, but...
From this amendment's ratification onwards, every
miscarriage in Georgia will require a police investigation.
And miscarriage is a *very* common outcome of
pregnancy, often before the mother is even aware
that she's pregnant.

If there's no difference between a baby and a zygot, then there's no

claims the right to protect the welfare of babies, and so would have to
protect the welfare of zygots to the same extent.
