Object: Gastrich breachs copyright again?
Jason has just posted a lot of copyrighted pictures of
Axum on his web site (http://tinyurl.com/534du) . It's
possible he paid for the rights, however, he is also giving
them away to other Christian web sites such as
exodus2006.com
http://exodus2006.com/Axumpics .htm
Again, his hypocrisy knows no bounds.
This was first noted by zamboni #2139

Compare http://tinyurl.com/5cnc3

with, for example:

http://www.jcsm.org/Axum/8.htm

http://www.jcsm.org/Axum/7.htm

Funny, it says that those are copyrighted. I guess it was
written too small, therefore, it is fair game. Stealing for
jesus is okay anyway, just ask "Dr." Jason.

Yep sure enough there is the copyright at the bottom
of the page ( http://tinyurl.com/5cnc3 ), exactly
where you would expect to find it.
=A91983-2005 Martin Gray, ALL RIGHTS RESERVED.
Zamboni also found more of Jason's photo at
exodus2006.com

Oh, here are more of "Dr." Jason's exclusive photos.
http://exodus2006.com/theark.h tm

And here are his maps:
http://exodus2006.com/theark.h tm

Gee, he must really be tapped out this month after
purchasing the rights to all these photos to use on his
website. (LOL!)

Even more amazing than ripping off pictures from the
web is that he then started sharing the pictures!!
Harvest Dancer noticed this and commented:

Ugh. Under "Pictures of Axum" on exodus2006.com
they actually thanked Gastrich for sending them the
stolen pictures.

You can see that acknowledment at the following web
site: http://tinyurl.com/534du
I'm not sure how long these pictures will stay up,
especially the ones he passed onto exodus2006. Of
course if he has bought the rights to display AND
distribute these pictures then he is in the clear.
Anyone think he paid for anything?

So, has anyone contacted Martin Gray and gotten his take on it, if
Jason paid for the pics and rights to distribute, etc?

Note that it's 8.jpg so I had to find the name associated with the picture.
There are other and actually simpler ways of getting the picture but it
exposes another bit of knowledge Jason lacks.

Oh, now that's just sad. Sick even. He steals the pictures, he
prevents right-clicking them on his stolen site, then he gives them to

It is sad how low Gastrich can go.

Presumably if you can actually see the picture you have already
downloaded and stored it on your hard drive in the browser cache. It
is the only way to see it from a web page. Simply by putting a link to
a picture using the <IMG> tag on a web page and inviting
people to view the page you have already given defacto permission to
download.
That is all you are entitled to do of course. If you then publish
the picture by putting on a different web site you are in breach
of copyright unless permission to do so is given.

Moreover, he's written/borrowed some script that won't run on most browsers:

Some also turn off javascript considering it a security risk.

Also, it takes little effort to "Save As..." the page and pick the
graphics out.

Using a paint programme such a PaintShop pro you can capture
the picture easily. And, of course, if you know where to look, it is
already stored!

Note that if you right click on the page he claims a copyright and it

seems

to be for him.

I guess he wants us to pay for the pictures rather than steal them as

he

did.
With that clever JavaScript in place I could never steal the picture
http://www.jcsm.org/Axum/8.jpg

By right clicking.

What kind of logic allows the thief to take the rights?

Squaters rights? That's about all I can come up with.

The Lord hath need of it.......

He doth?
