Gay Organizers Nonimated for Nobel Peace Prize |
Disassociated Press.
Jeruselem.
A group organizing a gay event in Jeruselem scheduled for August has
been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize. In a few short months, this
group has managed to foster more unity amoung Christians, Orthodox
Jews, and Muslims than the combined efforts of all the world's
diplomates could achieve in over a thousand years.

I thought the Nobel prize was for individuals. They have a prize for groups
too? How do they split up the money?

Actually, they sort of do have group prizes, although each individual
in the group is nominated separately, and they split the money in
whatever way the comittee decides. See
<http://nobelprize.org/peace/laureates/1973/>
for an example, although one of the two recipients in this case
declined the prize and the other had too big an ego to even consider
doing that. :-)
Hope everyone enjoyed the humor, though. :-)

No they have not, they only united a very small minority of bigoted
hypocritical fundamentalists of those three religions.

Uniting even that subgroup is a major accomplishment. :-) You did
realize it was posted as a joke, didn't you? You know, the
"Disasssociated Press" attribution which was meant to make it
obvious.
