all the sniper training.)
Did you use Springfields, or did you have one of the special sniper rifles?
We used the M21, an upgraded M14. Later we switched to the M24 Sniper
Weapons System, a far superior bolt-action rifle.
I also used the Barrett Light .50 and learned to use allied and WP
sniping gear.

Damn! more tool selection than some surgeons get! I think the most dramatic bit
of shooting I have ever seen was by a police sharpshooter dealing with some nut
with pistol and hostage on a park bench a decade or so ago. The cop waited for
the nut to tire of holding his gun up. When the guy rested his arm by letting it
relax straight down, pistol lower than the bench seat and between the guy's
spread knees, one bullet whisked the gun out of his hand at speed.
The best part was the dumbfounded look on the perp's face while staring at his
own empty hand.

I haven't even gone into the spotting scopes, ghillie suits, etc.
