Object: Giddy-up Gideon in Hotel rooms
For some time now, when I check into a hotel room, I find the bible and
put it out on the floor outside the room -- something akin to leaving
the dirty dishes on the floor after room service.
I wonder how any of you handle this situation? Perhaps nailing it to the
wall and encircling it with what looks like demonic symbols would be
more in line with what "they" expect. :)

I think we need to also consider "what" you wrote on the Gideon Bible. I am
just of the opinion that it shows immaturity just as Duke's ridiculous
comments do.

I thought the ironic use of the phrase "witty remarks life '*****'"
might have tipped you off. That's not all I wrote on the Gideon Bilble.
I also wrote some long and thought provoking passages and questions,
about the existence of a deity and other atheist related issues in a
very mature manner. I just didn't want to bore anyone with those
details, which I can't remember now anyway.

I tear pages from the phone book listing escort services and adult book
stores and insert them in strategic places in the Gideon Bible. That
way, all the porn is in one volume.

If you want to be productive you can leave a warning label in, on, or
around the bible such as one of these:
http://www.ffrf.org/shop/products/images/ed_stickers/gideon.jpg
and/or
http://www.ffrf.org/shop/products/images/ed_stickers/biblewarning.jpg
Since they like to label books they should not mind.

Funnily enough I have actually read the thing, though most of the time
I ignore it, and treat it the same way as all the other ***** you find
in hotel rooms. In fact I am reading the buybull quite a lot
recently. It gives me a sort of warm feeling that if I meet a
proselitysing xian, I will be, to an extent, forearmed. It is
excruciatingly boring on the whole and is best read with a good guide
like Asimov's "Guide to the Bible".

I've been planning for a while now to sell stickers in my atheist
t-shirt shop that you can put on bibles you find in hotel rooms - kind
of akin to the ones they already sell to plaster on gas pumps. I was
wanting to start a thread asking for suggestions.
What would you want a sticker to say that you would helpfully put on
bibles for the public?

fold up some girly mag pictures and place bookmarks with them and
leave the bible (with bookmatks) where you found it.
Or just leave the magazine there, with the bible.
I dunno.... :)

When I feel like it, I adorn it with stickers (God-less America(n)) or
grab a highlighter and go to work on some of my favorite passages. Most
