Religion is defined as: helping widows and orphans
in sickness or distress.
Big Business hides behind religion to get tax breaks.
Atheism is defining yourself as not believing in something
that doesn't exist. So why define yourself that way? It
doesn't exist to you. Shouldn't you pick a different name?

Bonjour M. Duster.
Are you unbiased? Because "unbiased" is defined as not having any
bias. If have no bias, why should you define yourself in that way?
Bias is something you don't have. Shouldn't you pick a different name?
Do you know anyone who is intolerant? Because "intolerant" is defined
as not having tolerance. If someone does not have any tolerance, why
should you identify them that way? They don't have tolerance.
Shouldn't you pick a different name for them?
"Atheist" is defined with reference to theism, and theism *does* exist,
whether any God does or not. It shows a rather intolerant bias against
atheists to suggest that they are not even entitled to their own name.
By the way, I am not an atheist myself, but I do stick up for them on
occasion.

Exactly. If there was no theism the lack of theism would be
universal. (trivially, granted, but still there)

By the way, I am not an atheist myself, but I do stick up for them on
occasion.

Folks like you I have a lot of respect for.

(sigh) Once again the lack of education spotlights itself.
There is a class of words with an 'a' prefix which means 'without the
following property.'
Further, atheism isn't a definition of a person. I am not a theist.
I'm also not a; parachutist, snowskiier, ski jumper, acrobat, nuclear
physicist, pattern maker, physician, scuba diver and other facets. I
don't identify myself by the things I am not. There's no reason to
treat bronze age or new age superstition any differently.

Did Jesus really see Spider-man, or was it just all the shrooms he was
