#God Answers Prayer? Rain Forecast For Atlanta |
http://www.weather.com/outlook/recreation/boatandbeach/local/USGA0028?from=search_city
Note the forecast after the governor's prayer meeting.
Reminds me of that old Ziggy cartoon where he is watching the sunrise in the
distance. Ziggy is clapping and shouting "Go God!"

I nominate this for the new State Song in Georgia:
Title: When Will It Rain?
Artist: Jackyl
When will it rain, I feel the heat burning through my shoes
Soft shoulders are getting harder adding to my blues
Can't count the days gone by, can't wish away the stain
On the life behind me from which I came
The heat is getting hotter
The day is getting longer
The sun will show no mercy, my nights are spent in vain
I chose this long road and on it I remain
When will it rain
CHORUS
When will it rain
Can't stand this heat from the road, can't stand the pain
When will it rain
It's burning holes in my shoes, won't you tell me
When will it rain
I think I'm going insane
When will it rain
I'm on the road that will never take me home
WHen will it rain
When will it rain my mouth is as dry as desert sand
And I've tried to hide in every corner of this land
You can't lose the things attached or that's what they say
Things I loved, attached or not, I've thrown away
The heat is getting hotter
The day is getting longer
The sun will show no mercy, my nights are spent in vain
I chose this long road and on it I remain
When will it rain
CHORUS
I've walked for miles and miles in a dead man's shoes
You can walk, you can run, but can't hide from the blues
And I've felt the pain of the world falling down on me
All I need is alittle cool rain to set me free
CHORUS
When will it rain, when will it rain, when will it rain

ATLANTA: A storm crashed through the U.S. Southeast and brought up to
an inch (2.54 centimeters) of rain in parts of drought-stricken
Georgia, two days after the state's governor publicly prayed for rain.
However, forecasters said the storm likely did little to ease
Georgia's historic drought.
"It puts a little bit of extra water in some of the smaller
tributaries and reservoirs, but it doesn't provide any significant
long-term benefit," said Matt Sena, a meteorologist with the National
Weather Service. "We need months of above average rainfall to start
putting a dent in this."
~
You would think that a supernatural deity would know what was
necessary.
Unfortunately, the storm, as well as not ending the drought, "packed
lashing rain and powerful gusts, damaging buildings and injuring at
least nine in Tennessee."
Was that part of the drought relief plan or just an unfortunate
happenstance?

morning did actually break today.

You're happy about that, aren't you? I mean you can be happy that it's
finally raining in Georgia.
Of course, I would be glad for the people who have been enduring a
water shortage.
Glad to hear it.
Even if God did it.
How long does it usually take God© to answer prayers?
"The rainfall came two days after Gov. Sonny Perdue led a prayer service
on the steps of the state Capitol to beg the heavens for an end to the
drought."
First, what part of "he read the weather forecast" don't you understand,
and, second, why did you ignore the rest of Liz's questions?
Dishonest much?

Funniest damn thing. It's been raining like hell here, and I'm an
atheist.
I nominate this for the new State Song in Georgia:
Title: When Will It Rain?
Looks like Thanksgiving day and a few days afterwards:
