God, Atheist's and Peace |
I read this and I see misery on both sides. Atheist's so miserable with
themselves and those whom they cannot tempt. I also see the opposite,
those so filled with the spirit that they become like an annoying
tele-marketer on a bad night, pushing souls away.

Nope. Never. Not in a heartbeat. The tradition of my family
includes a rejection of your rotted messiah on a stick, and we've kept
it that way.
Why do you assume all atheists come from Christian backgrounds?

So is it your claim that people follow a religion out of desperation more

I see happy and sad folks from both sides of the fence. Regarding
every aethiest in the group, I guarantee they have all said a prayer or

You'd be totally wrong, since some of us were never
Christians. Plus, in the situation you describe above,
the thought of praying to a non-existent 'God' never
crossed my mind.
If we
were all so happy with ourselves we wouldn't all be slinging mud or
ending our replies with an insult or making a last ditch effort at
getting in the last word. What a messed up world it is indeed. If we
were all alike, things would be very boring. There would be no music,
no museums, no relationships and no breakups. People who have peace do
not need to reply with such malicious attacks. I believe in Jesus
Christ and I have felt and seen things that could have only been done
by God. Anyone who publicly announces that he does not believe in God
will be told that he is not known by christ on judgement day. If
nothing else, isn't it better to be safe than sorry than to be cast
with 100% certainty into hell's fire?
I publicly announce that I do not believe in the existence
of a god or gods. I also do not believe in the fiction called
'Judgement Day'. I do believe that Jesus is a totally
fictitious character. I do believe that the concept of Hell
is totally depraved and that people who threaten others
with this disgusting concept are morally depraved.
Oh, yes, your use of the totally ridiculous Pascal's Wager
is truly pathetic.
Now, bakedbeans, you can take your sickening religious
beliefs elsewhere, before someone even nastier than me
truly fries you.

Miserable? Me? How do you figure that? I've had my share of misery, as has
everyone, but I've come throught them and I'm still the eternal optimist.
On the whole, my life has been good. I love and am being loved, I help and

So what do I need to feel miserable about?
