For me the baby is that there is a higher nature within myself that I can
reach through prayer and especially being able to listen to answers that

This higher nature within is no more than a hysterical need hightened
by the act of
praying, which you would have been taught to do at some point. It is a
method widely
used by religious groups to bring the mind to bear on the point they
wish
implant in your mind. It's loosely termed brain washing and is very
effective as you give witness to. You are told that the all hearing ear
listens and that your prayers will be answered and of course they are,
but not by any mysterious force; rather by your own
desire to have them answered, because you believe! And think about it
for just a moment,
the kingdom of god of course is within you stuck in your brain rather
like a hangover, from the bible. Like learning once one is one, you
cant forget it easily. But in truth there is not, nor ever was a god
and even your friend Jesus had to come to terms with that at the end;
With those famous last words, "E'li, E'li, la'ma sa-bach-tha'ni?" but
his god had not
forsaken him, there just wasn't one: He like all of us was taught that
there was. There isn't
get real and get used to it. Do you really think that a loving, all
caring deity would allow such awful atrocities as abound in the world
today. Would you allow a child to blow himself up in your name? Come

I read your post. It doesn't relate to my experience though. There is a book
called "A Course in Miracles" that explains what I have found to be a higher
consciousness.
I am bound to respect your beliefs, but beliefs they remain and have no
bearing or equation with the truth. Surely you must prefer to be in possesion
of the truth. What place do miracles have in a world held to ransome by a
few religious fanatics. What does that higher consciousness of yours do
to assauge it's feelings of outrage at the slaughter of the innocent.
Do you really believe in such fairy tail fantasy as a book like the one you
mention or the bible written for the express purpose of people like you,
abeit good wholesome folk with a need to believe that there is something
beyond this life in a far greater place. None of it has any meaning in reality
except for you. There is nothing wrong with that except that it is people
like you that allow and turn a blind eye to atrocity on their doorstep.
Watch young people blow themselves to pieces in order to blow others to
pieces, in the name of some remote and blameless deity that has no existence.
How in the name of humanity can you be so blind, when the evidence is
right before you, written in your history as to the origins of the gods and such.
Yet you prefer to believe in a lie. Please don't refer to Jesus, he was no
different to me. Except he was fighting to rid his people of the tirany of Rome.
Don't tell me about all the miracles he was supposed to have had a hand in,
I can relate them probably better than you. It was written under the guidance
of the church of Rome, all rubbish just for people like you, and told very well
with many variations to give it the credance it has today but all false built
around the times and places it was supposed to have happened, to give it some
authenticity. Lies and deception, which the churches well knows but insist on
pedalling. I am an existentialist and it is my belief that we are here to benefit
and help each other since there is no higher force to look to. Please help me
in this and make me understand your stance.
