Object: God is not at the centre of everything, therefore, his existence is the least important question about him.
God is the personification of hierarchy, having total authority and
zero responsibility.
Hierarchy is a response to increasing numbers and decreasing
resources.
The imposition of rules on top of instincts is a painful process,
hence the terrible twos.

Hieracrchy is a result of all sorts of things. The evolution of
extra-biological social hierarchy probably started with the division of
labour. Even cave persons needed to decide who was best at making flint
arrowheads, so they needed to decide who was best at deciding who made
them, and so on. That's even before agriculture.
