Something an employer of my acquaintance asked an employee (not me)
after a particularly stupid move:
"What the ***** were you thinking?"

I would ask the same questions I would ask some aliens, the important
questions for us all:
1) If you could be any kind of animals, what kind of animals would you
be?
2) A train leaves Chicago at 6:30, traveling at 37 miles per hour. A
train leaves Boston ....
Ok, so maybe I am not the person who we should pick to ask the
questions.

Why did you need blood to forgive?

The point is mere humans can see things that are far less than perfect
in the "design".
Evolution has no problem with this. The god is supposed to be, well,
above critiscism.
It gets relly difficult to come up with an original idea because just
about all the clever ideas have been used already. And rather than
just echo others, I do try to have an original thought, however naff.
J
If we can stop evolution, this is not a good place to stop.

Who said anything about birth defects? Don't limit yourself to humans.
