God, the sinner |
I know. I know. God is fictional. But just for fun; lets see how
well God lives up to his commandments.
How many commandments has God broken?
Well he has murdered: (flood, saddam and gomorrah, etc, etc, etc). He
has lied: 2 Th.2:11-12
He has worked on Sunday: Acts of God
Others?

It is not murder for the author of life to finish it. Someone has to decide
when your number is up.

He did not lie, he allowed it to happen by the evil.

If we never had this 6 day week then Saturday is, and always was, Saturday,
Sunday is, and always was, Sunday and Friday is, and always was, Friday.
So either tell us when these days changed-when the 6 day week was-or admit
that you're talking out your arse, as usual.

No, Mark - "Shabbat" is Hebrew for "Saturday". Literally (that means
it's the exact translation). If you want to argue Hebrew, first learn
Hebrew. Telling someone who actually knows Hebrew that "Shabbat"
means "Sunday" is like telling someone who understands English that
the real name of the color of grass is "orange", but "they just call
orange green now."

That's like saying that our Tuesday falls on Tuesday. "Shabbat" is
the Hebrew name for the day we call Saturday. Exodus 20:8 refers to
Saturday, not to some unnamed day of rest. Naming Sunday "the
sabbath" is just Christianity's way of distancing itself from its
roots.

One slight problem with that.
The Jew's sabbath is on Saturday.
That's like saying that our Tuesday falls on Tuesday. "Shabbat" is
the Hebrew name for the day we call Saturday. Exodus 20:8 refers to
Saturday, not to some unnamed day of rest. Naming Sunday "the
sabbath" is just Christianity's way of distancing itself from its
roots.
Agreed and already known, but it's fun taunting the moron.
He stated that the sabbath was on a Sunday at the time of (the alleged)
Moses.

I know. I know. God is fictional. But just for fun; lets see how
well God lives up to his commandments.
How many commandments has God broken?
Well he has murdered: (flood, saddam and gomorrah, etc, etc, etc). He
has lied: 2 Th.2:11-12
He has worked on Sunday: Acts of God
When did God say He couldn't work on Sunday? If God worked on Sunday, when
did He do that? Does what God does qualify as Work?
Do you have anything intelligent to say?

If God worked on Sunday, when

Look dipshit. Have you never heard of "Acts of God"? Do you think
that have have never happened on Sunday?
Does what God does qualify as Work?
According to the Bible, yes. Any other questions?

Yeah. He 'created' evil. Who or what could *possibly* be more evil than the
creator of 'evil'. Almost as bad : Who or what could *possibly* be more
'sinful', more of a 'sinner' than a creature who consciously creates 'evil'
and then *malevolently* injects existence with it and then allows this
'disease' to infect/invade every single human being -- even helpless
babies -- with not so much of a *trace* of remorse?
Oh, I forget. Imaginary deity are incapable of 'sinning'. And why's that you
ask? Because the men that made-up this make-believe deity known as 'God'
*said* so. That's why. Got a problem with that? Well maintaining that 'God'
can 'sin' is a 'sin' in itself, you know! And why's that, you ask? Because
the men that made up that make-believe deity known as 'God' *said* so.
*That's* why!
Did I fail to mention that 'punishing' the children and grandchildren and
great-grandchildren for something they had absolutely *nothing* to do with
is a 'sin'?
Oh, that's right. Where is *my* head today? Infecting *all* of mankind
(excepting that 1st-century Jewish, 'God-Man', fella) with 'Original sin'
isn't a 'sin' because ... well you get the picture.

I suppose if you created a computer game you would not put anything to
resist your progress, some enemy.
That would be a very boring game, and few if any would play it.

All children are subject to the successes and failures of their parents.
Just a tragic part of life.

Didn't the Jesus character supposedly "liberate" a donkey? (That could count
for stealing AND coveting. One usually has to covet before they steal.)
Weren't the very commandments themselves issued as graven images? (I love
the irony of that one.)
Did the god character covet Joseph's wife? (I'd say a good case can be
made.)

Not at all, or he would have appeared to her.

Sure it applies to the lawmakers. But remember how it was in kingdoms of
old.
Everything in the kingdom, strictly speaking, belongs to the king. Whatever
he decrees is law. If the king says the donkey is his, the peasants have to
submit.

If God wanted Mary as a wife, he would have appeared to her.
That is the only way he could have her that way.
In olden days before the flood, gods took human wives all the time.
That is where men like Hercules came from.
In God's case, however, he did not want Mary for a wife. He just wanted her
to surrogately carry his and the Spirit's child.

Andres64:
Others?
Starting your creation with a fat lie ("thou shalt surely die" if you eat
that fruit... oh really?) also ain't something to be proud of. And I'm
pretty sure we'll find all those commandments broken by the very one who
supposedly authored them (inasmuch as possible - hard to dishonor your
parents if you have none...).
Of course, as Ex 34 shows, the final version of those commandments is
something completely different... and how does this imaginary gawd live up
to _them?_
Kiss your gawd's arse: A bit difficult if you're this gawd yourself, so
let's excuse this failure
Kill all heathens: Well, here we have something gawd did quite well, no?
(Not perfectly though, for <Matrix' Morpheus> "we are still heeeeeeeere!")
Seems like it's all a question of what commandments we measure gawd with...
(or by? In case someone started thinking my command of the English language
is perfect, here's evidence to the contrary 8) )
