Object: Gods must come in hierarchies
IF Gods exist, they must come in hierarchies with respective areas of
responsibility and power.
There would be
A God.
A God of Existence.
A God of This particular set of physical laws.
A God of This universe, one of This galaxy, one of This solar system
A God of Earth.
A God of humans.
A God of Christians, A God of Jews, A God of Muslims, Many Gods of
Hindus, Many Gods of Pagans.
So, Gods have to come in hierarchies. The one we think of as God is
very limited really. The top God (CEO of Gods) would be a very unhuman
(not inhuman), unEarthly, unPhysical, weird, unrelatable God.
All confusion comes from the fact that
- we choose arbitrary positions on the "IF Gods Exist" question.
- we confuse the Gods at multiple levels with each other.
- we sometimes create two versions of the same real God (Jews, Muslims
and Xians)
.

According to your theory, your short list is true if there are gods
and either time is infinite because it's circular, or the hierarchies
are infinite and your list is very short sited. Unless you would
agree that a thing which creates doesn't need to be created.

There would be
A God.

In a message sent 'round the world, Sirius Black poured fuel on the fire
with the following:

IF Gods exist, they must come in hierarchies with respective areas of
responsibility and power.

Could you tell us which one is responsible for all those lost socks?

There would be
A God.

A God of .........? Of Nothing?

A God of Existence.

This one would presumably have responsibility and power over the
existence of the other gods. No? Is it also responsible for it's own
existence?

A God of This particular set of physical laws.

Sounds like a cushy job. All you have to do is make sure that every
action is matched by an equal and opposite reaction, ... stuff like
that.

A God of This universe, ...

Why wouldn't this god also look after the laws of physics? And what's
with the capitalization of the word "This"? Is it someone's proper name?

... one of This galaxy, one of This solar system
A God of Earth.
A God of humans.
A God of Christians, A God of Jews, A God of Muslims, Many Gods of
Hindus, Many Gods of Pagans.

So, Gods have to come in hierarchies.

The logic is a bit thin, Socrates.

The one we think of as God is
very limited really. The top God (CEO of Gods) would be a very unhuman
(not inhuman), unEarthly, unPhysical, weird, unrelatable God.

No argument there.

All confusion comes from the fact that
- we choose arbitrary positions on the "IF Gods Exist" question.

You haven't shown any reasoning, so your's is also an arbitrary
position.

- we confuse the Gods at multiple levels with each other.

Well Jeez, there's just so many of 'em.

- we sometimes create two versions of the same real God (Jews, Muslims
and Xians)

< chuckle! > A little bit numerically challenged, I see!
And to make it even more confusing, the Christians have three gods for
the price of one.
Regards,
Josef
The gods too are fond of a joke.
