Good God! |
Thousands of years of prayer to gods never eliminated a single disease
from Earth. However, when after man created medical science, small
pox, infantile paralysis, plagues, etc. have been eliminated.
Obviously, smart human beings have more power than gods.
If God created the universe by divine fiat, why did he have to remove a rib
from Adam to create Eve?
Now if he could create Adam instantly from dirt and Eve from Adam's rib why
did god
Have himself born of some virgin Mary, live an uneventful life as a child,
then work as a carpenter before becoming Jesus the Christ. He supposedly
then preached God's wishes and commands for only one, two or three years
(depending on which Bible you believe) to a very small portion of the worlds
population. He then permitted himself to be killed on a cross to die a
miserable death before going back to his heaven.
This is less plausible than Santa Claus or Aesop's Fables!

In actuality, apes are at the pinnacle of their current
evolution now! And since they are not human, they could not
have been us!
In other words, apes "now" are not "us" from a different
time period, nor are they "us" minus evolution.
And of course, "we" are at the pinnacle of our current
evolution "now" too, as is everything else.
Our similar characteristics, as our genetic codes bare out,
implies we have "common ancestors" along the evolutionary
tree, not that we evolved "from" them.
To be clearer, it is possible that we were of the "same"
species at some point along the evolutionary tree, but it
was "before" a branched off event that divided us into
different species.

technology is a result of a large brain combined with manual dexterity. The
genetic evidence shows that this was a touch and go story as the human
species went through a bottleneck of only a few thousand individuals as
recently as seventy thousand years ago. In other words the species narrowly
missed going extinct. Other large brained hominids like h neanderthalis did
go extinct. It is only the relatively recent development of agriculture
that allowed humans to expand to current population levels. In actual fact
very few humans have the technical abilities you cite above. Would you
yourself know how to build or even understand how an MRI scanner actually
works?

We are that family. There are pretty much no significant anatomical
differences between us and chimps for example. The largest difference would
be the larynx devlopments that allow humans speech at higher risk of
choaking. Then the skeletal differences pertaining to upright locomotion.
When you compare the genes of humans versus chimps the significant
differerences are very small, pertaining mainly in regulatory regions
relating to HOX genes.
