Scumbag KKK Facist Jerry Falwell in critical condition!!
http://www.cnn.com/2005/US/03/29/falwell.health.ap/index.html
LYNCHBURG, Virginia (AP) -- The Rev. Jerry Falwell was hospitalized in
critical condition Tuesday, battling his second case of viral pneumonia in
just five weeks, hospital and church officials said.
Falwell, 71, was admitted to Lynchburg General Hospital shortly before
midnight Monday suffering from "respiratory arrest," the hospital said in a
statement.
He was put on a ventilator and stabilized but remained in critical
condition, the hospital said.
"He's resting comfortably and in stable condition," said Ron Godwin,
Falwell's executive assistant. "It's a recurrence of the viral pneumonia."
Falwell is the founder of the Moral Majority and chancellor of Liberty
University, which he also founded.
It was Falwell's second admission this year to Lynchburg General Hospital.
He was treated for pneumonia for 13 days in late February and early March.
For a time, he was on a ventilator.
In a recent interview with The Associated Press, Falwell said he was feeling
much better, but still recovering from his hospital stay.
Falwell had been in the pulpit Easter Sunday at Thomas Road Baptist Church
and appeared in good health, said the Rev. Dave Randlett, a senior associate
pastor.
"He always looks `up' so you wouldn't know if he wasn't" feeling well,
Randlett said. "He was very optimistic."
An avid sports fan, Falwell made the trip to Chattanooga, Tennessee, on
Saturday for the third round of the NCAA women's basketball tournament.
Liberty University's team ended its postseason run in a 90-48 loss to
top-seeded Louisiana State.
He also had been in the crowd on March 22 when the Liberty women beat DePaul
88-79 in the second round in College Park, Maryland.

After 9-11 Falwell said this...
"The abortionists have got to bear some burden for this because God will not
be mocked. And when we destroy 40 million little innocent babies, we make
God mad. I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the
feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make
that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People for the American Way, all of
them who have tried to secularize America, I point the finger in their face
and say: you helped this happen."
On women's rights...
"I listen to feminists and all these radical gals... These women just need a
man in the house. That's all they need. Most of the feminists need a man to
tell them what time of day it is and to lead them home. And they blew it and
they're mad at all men. Feminists hate men. They're sexist. They hate men;
that's their problem."
His mission? "We must, from the highest office in the land right down to the
shoeshine boy in the airport, have a return to Biblical basics."
All this coming from the bigot who said that everyone should be required to
say merry christmas instead of happy holidays!
What a *****.

I should hope that the joy from such news would not be limited to the

I see, so double standards are a policy with you and others of your ilk.

To me, Jerry Falwell is one of the most evil, hate filled men who ever
lived and I hope he dies a slow painfull death.

I actually believe that Falwell's death is soemthing as welcome to you as
Saddam's or Osama's.

You would be correct.

You cannot distinguish between nuisances and legitimate dangers.

You seem to be of the opinion that words do not carry power. You seem to
think that no one listens to Fallwell, or takes his hate speech seriously.
You seem to think he has no ability to shape public opinion.
I beg to differ.

To you, an insult, slight or disrepectful remark is as serious a trespass
as the murder of thousands of innocents.

So it's ok to wish you could murder thousands, and try to convince others to
do the same, as long as you don't actually murder thousands.
Hey, I don't think Hitler actually killed anyone with his own hands, does
that make him ok? He just said stuff and other people did things, right?
I hold Fallwell in contempt regarding his intent. He's a hateful monster
that cares nothing about the suffering of others.

Your pettiness prohibits you from any rational assessment of fairness or
judgement.

Your pot is trying to tell you something about your kettle.

Like you, Falwell is a nuisance.

No. Not in a country where the majority is theist, and he speaks to them
about curtailing the rights of our minority. In that environment he's far
more than a nuisance.

I wish death and suffering on neither of you.

Unless you're a Christian, then you agree with your god that we DESERVE to
be tortured forever in a lake of fire.
So show us this respect for nuisances you're talking about. Come on, show
us.

Scumbag KKK Facist Jerry Falwell in critical condition!!

http://www.cnn.com/2005/US/03/29/falwell.health.ap/index.html

LYNCHBURG, Virginia (AP) -- The Rev. Jerry Falwell was

hospitalized in

critical condition Tuesday, battling his second case of viral

pneumonia

in just five weeks, hospital and church officials said.

Falwell, 71, was admitted to Lynchburg General Hospital shortly

before

midnight Monday suffering from "respiratory arrest," the hospital

said

in a statement.
He was put on a ventilator and stabilized but remained in

critical

condition, the hospital said.

"He's resting comfortably and in stable condition," said Ron

Godwin,

Falwell's executive assistant. "It's a recurrence of the viral
pneumonia."
Falwell is the founder of the Moral Majority and chancellor of

Liberty

University, which he also founded.

It was Falwell's second admission this year to Lynchburg General
Hospital. He was treated for pneumonia for 13 days in late

February and

early March. For a time, he was on a ventilator.

In a recent interview with The Associated Press, Falwell said he

was

feeling much better, but still recovering from his hospital stay.

Falwell had been in the pulpit Easter Sunday at Thomas Road

Baptist

Church and appeared in good health, said the Rev. Dave Randlett,

a

senior associate pastor.

"He always looks `up' so you wouldn't know if he wasn't" feeling

well,

Randlett said. "He was very optimistic."

An avid sports fan, Falwell made the trip to Chattanooga,

Tennessee, on

Saturday for the third round of the NCAA women's basketball

tournament.

Liberty University's team ended its postseason run in a 90-48

loss to

top-seeded Louisiana State.

He also had been in the crowd on March 22 when the Liberty women

beat

DePaul 88-79 in the second round in College Park, Maryland.

It takes a truly disgusting excuse for a human being to take

delight in

this news. Thank you for once again reminding me that a lack of

religion

does not imply the possession of any virtue beyond having a lack

of

religion.

If it was Saddam Hussain or Osama Bin Laden the religious right

would be

in celebration mode right now. (me too)

I should hope that the joy from such news would not be limited to the
religious right, secular right or any other group of true Americans.

To me, Jerry Falwell is one of the most evil, hate filled men who

ever

lived and I hope he dies a slow painfull death.

I actually believe that Falwell's death is soemthing as welcome to

you as

Saddam's or Osama's. You cannot distinguish between nuisances and
legitimate dangers. To you, an insult, slight or disrepectful remark

is as

serious a trespass as the murder of thousands of innocents. Your

pettiness

prohibits you from any rational assessment of fairness or judgement.

Like

you, Falwell is a nuisance. I wish death and suffering on neither of

you.
I believe that the only difference between Falwell and a murderous,
militant Islamist like Osama is the environment in which they operate.
Falwell's speech is as filled with as much hatred and biggotry as is
possible. In Afghanistan it is permissible to kill you enemies and in
America it is not. That is the only difference I see.
If I were correct, would you keep the same stance?

I'm not sure I understand your question. Falwell has not killed anyone. He
has not even threatened anyone with death. In fact I'm not aware of any
threats that he has made against non-Xtians. If he were free to do so, I
doubt he would. So, no, I don't agree with you, assuming I understand what

His threats include forcing his theocracy down America's throat...
And they blew it and
they're mad at all men. Feminists hate men. They're sexist. They hate men;
that's their problem."
His mission? "We must, from the highest office in the land right down to the
shoeshine boy in the airport, have a return to Biblical basics."
All this coming from the bigot who said that everyone should be required to
say merry christmas instead of happy holidays!
What a *****.

Snipped and pasted from a previous thread
"DianaC" <dianaiad@vernoyoudontizon.net> wrote in
news:10kYd.15$b_6.4@trnddc01:

According to J.R.Rummel, the author of "Death by Government" and
counter up of such things, in the twentieth century more than
156,000,000 people have been killed in acts of genocide; that is,
people killed by governments "in times of peace or far from the
battlefield". The breakdown, between governments that allow theism and
governments that did not, are this: Theist:41,100,000
Atheist:114,900,000, a difference of 73,800,000, almost twice as many
people eliminated by officially atheist governments than by
governments that allowed theism. Note: these are just the top twenty
nations, and the total may be a wee bit off; if I didn't absolutely
KNOW that the government wasn't officially totalitarian/atheist, I put
it in the 'theist' column. Thus Hitler is in the 'theist' column, as
are the fascists of Purtugal, Croatia and Indonesia--indeed, if the
government itself was not officially atheist, it went into the other
column.

END QUOTE
It dosn't take much googling to find numbers on genocide, though they can
vary quite a bit. For instance, numbers for Stalin are anywhere from 15 to
50 million and I think I saw one in the 60's. Whatever the actual numbers
are I think it can be safely said there is plenty of blame to go around. I
think the standard position I have found is that atheism or theism is not
to blame, a lust for power is. In both cases there are rules to follow to
be considered a 'good' theist or atheist and when someone breaks the rules
it is not the rules that are to blame. Obviously there are those people
that use rules and twist them to their own purposes but that characteristic
is also found in all varieties of people.
One must also take into account that a community of like minded people will
attempt to distance themselves from someone claiming to be a part of that
community that brings disgrace to it.
i.e. Hitler wasn't actually a Christian attacking the Jews because of their
faith. A REAL christian would not have acted in such a manner. It was just
convenient for him to use Christianity for his own political purposes, and
the Jewish community was just a scapegoat for Germany's problems.
A true statement in itself but important to provide that distance just as
an athiest can state it was the communism that was responsible for the
deaths in the USSR not the atheism.
There does exist an argument that religious doctrine is actually preferable
because they tend to have much stricter guidelines regarding moral and
ethical behavior. In my opinion thuogh this is offset by the fact that so
many of the populace can be swayed to follow a particular leader's
interpretation of Gods will with just way to much ease. Atheism seems to
put a sense of doubt and a need for proof first but (IMO) still seems leave
one open to accept too easily, opinions from a sense of nationalism and/or
community.
Of course being a pure skeptic can just make you a paranoid with delusions
of conspiracies of which you can only be skeptical about.

Northern Ireland has about as much to do with religion as
my big toe has with the weather. And places like Kashmir,
or the Israeli occupied terroritories, would still be hot points
even without religion. Seriously. You don't honestly believe
the Palestinians would be happy right now if, instead of a

partially claimed by, Chinese forces?

religion. It is simply a coincidence that the sides have an
identifiable religious affiliation. They are not fighting over
religion.
The Kashmir is a similar situation, but between Moslems and Hindus.
Neither side is claiming to follow Judeo-Christian teachings. In
fact, they are pretty much against it.
The Inquisition, again, was primarily from political motivation,
though it did have religious overtones. The question was not whether
there would be an Inquisition, but whether it would be run by the
Christians or the Moslems. I happen to be glad that the Christians
were the sponsors.
The World Trade Center was orchestrated by the Moslems, who very
clearly do not take "Thou Shalt Not Kill" seriously at all.

In your dreams. Atheism is neither a motivator nor justifier for
anything. You have to look at what people are, to find out why they do
something. Not what they aren't.
Atheists are individuals who don't happen to believe in a deity.

you religious fruitcakes are the ones that came up with thou shalt not
kill......hey real good job of obeying your own laws there jackasses.
All you have to do is look at Northern Ireland, Kashmir, the Inquisition,
the Crusades, and the World Trade Center to see how seriously the religious
folks take thou shalt not kill.
The more devout they are, the more they see murder as being negotiable.

thanks to george Carlin:

THOU SHALT NOT KILL

Murder.

But when you think about it, religion has never really had a big problem
with murder.

More people have been killed in the name of god than for any other reason.

All you have to do is look at Northern Ireland, Kashmir, the Inquisition,
the Crusades, and the World Trade Center to see how seriously the
religious
folks take thou shalt not kill.

The more devout they are, the more they see murder as being negotiable.

It depends on who's doin the killin' and who's gettin' killed

God forbid!!!! With no more Christian to flame, you would only have
atheists assholes left to complain about.

I hope that I don't offend you by offering real facts to refute your
ignorant prejudices, but it is the atheists who hold the record on the
murder rate, by a wide margin.

Scumbag KKK Facist Jerry Falwell in critical condition!!

http://www.cnn.com/2005/US/03/29/falwell.health.ap/index.html

LYNCHBURG, Virginia (AP) -- The Rev. Jerry Falwell was hospitalized in
critical condition Tuesday, battling his second case of viral pneumonia
in just five weeks, hospital and church officials said.

Falwell, 71, was admitted to Lynchburg General Hospital shortly before
midnight Monday suffering from "respiratory arrest," the hospital said
in
a statement.
He was put on a ventilator and stabilized but remained in critical
condition, the hospital said.

"He's resting comfortably and in stable condition," said Ron Godwin,
Falwell's executive assistant. "It's a recurrence of the viral
pneumonia."
Falwell is the founder of the Moral Majority and chancellor of Liberty
University, which he also founded.

It was Falwell's second admission this year to Lynchburg General
Hospital. He was treated for pneumonia for 13 days in late February and
early March. For a time, he was on a ventilator.

In a recent interview with The Associated Press, Falwell said he was
feeling much better, but still recovering from his hospital stay.

Falwell had been in the pulpit Easter Sunday at Thomas Road Baptist
Church and appeared in good health, said the Rev. Dave Randlett, a
senior
associate pastor.

He also had been in the crowd on March 22 when the Liberty women beat
DePaul 88-79 in the second round in College Park, Maryland.

It takes a truly disgusting excuse for a human being to take delight in
this news. Thank you for once again reminding me that a lack of religion
does not imply the possession of any virtue beyond having a lack of
religion.

If it was Saddam Hussain or Osama Bin Laden the religious right would be
in
celebration mode right now. (me too)

To me, Jerry Falwell is one of the most evil, hate filled men who ever
lived
and I hope he dies a slow painfull death.

He's a political ally of Fester's. It's no wonder that he would defend the
evil Falwell.
