Object: Good news and bad news...
The bad news is that according to what could have been an excellent show on
the Mayan calendar, the world will end on 12/21/12.
The good news is that most of us will be around when it does and we can
point out to the Christians they made the wrong choice of gods...

I'm looking forward to that, since that day will be my wife's 61st
birthday...so we'll just have to have an end-of-world party and laugh at the
"Christians" trying to figure out who to blame for the latest failure of
prophecy.

mmmm...not so much a Christian prophecy, but it has become popular with
the hippy new-ager types...not that there's a lack of things to laugh at
about them either.

True...but there's at least one convenient "Christian" who's latched on to
that: good old Danny Min, who'll latch on to any excuse to make threats
against anyone who doesn't see the world as he does. (Of course, with the
deification of stupidity proceeding as it is, I'm not 100% sure we can make it
to the end of 2012...)

Not just hippie New agers. There are a lot of rebel natives with guns
in South America and Central America who bellieve in that date
fervently. I'd be surprised if the whole place doesn't become a war
zone for a few weeks.

I'm sure that nothing will happen that day, but if it did I'd be
laughing my butt off at them.

You are wrong, of course.
The world will end on the appointed date.
I know this because my supervisor, who makes $25,000 a year more than I
and insists that Elvis Presley is alive, says so.
The crazy old bat, (a strict Catholic), who believes in ALL types of
astrology, dream interpretation, tarot card reading, palm reading, and
who was hired because she' s a friend of another nutcase supervisor,
agrees.
What chance do you think I have?
What chance does an atheist have?
