Object: Good news or bad news Mr President?
Well the bad news is that things continue to get worse in Iraq.

The good news is that it's only a couple days to the week end. Maybe a nice
vacation would cheer you up.

Looks like the "fight against terrorism" is just Bush's own terror
campaign in Iraq after all, doesn't it? Bush is probably thrilled that
it wasn't Americans who were killed given his woes in the aftermath of
Katrina.
What bothers me is when we hear something like "400 suspected
insurgents were arrested in the siege on Tel Afar" and then we hear
nothing more about them. Were they insurgents? Or were they simply
innocent Iraqis who were arrested and then let go? We'll never know,
but it looks *so good* in the news, doesn't it?
