And why, exactly, should the government pay one soldier more than another of
the same rank?
People join the Reserves and National Guard with full knowledge that they
may be pressed into active duty. If there is a pay disparity then the
person should reconsider their decision to join the guard/reserves.

Not a believer in "equal pay for equal work", eh? If Reservists and National Guardsmen are doing
*exactly* the same thing as regular soldiers, and are in *exactly* the same danger, why should
they NOT be getting *exactly* the same benefits?

Hm... dunno. But why is the Bush admin and Congress backstabbing the
troops on pretty much every single pay and benefits issue while handing
themselves pay raises?

Well I hope they remember what happens when they vote republican.
Right after voting they should just bend over for Bush.
Wonder if Republicans can still count of the military vote?

I know what you meant and I say again, it was a proper vote. Otherwise, a
Reservist/National Guard Soldier serving side by side with an active duty
soldier would be receiving more pay than the active soldier. The persons in
the Reserves/Guard know what they are getting into and are treated fairly.

too.
