There's an Oscar-nominated film that has completely disappeared from
view called The Passover Plot (1976) which discusses a scenario whereby
Jesus, et al. fake his death and resurrection. I would think faking
his betrayal (by asking Judas to turn him in) would fit nicely into
this scenario.
