peace, so I would just hurt myself most with such behavior.
No, Jim, when I am a member of a group I like to participate if at all
possible. I see there are tons of lurker members here on the google
stats, yet only a handful are regular posters. What about the rest of
you list members? Whenever I make the effort to read a list, I write
the list as well. It takes both reading and writing to complete the
picture. Writing is what made all the difference with me. When we write
we use a different part of the brain than we use with talking. Writing
helps crystallize our thoughts and cement the recovery concepts within
us. Also there is the added benefit that something we write can
enlighten others with an "aha" moment as well and lives get turned
around this way when we change our course sometimes from just a single
idea.

not read them - then your peace will not be disturbed. But as atheists
you do not believe in the God of Inner Peace, so you have no concept of
this divine tool.
It is your right to not like me and you are free to think about the me
as you please. But, if we are seeking to find the truth about a
subject, I find it a good policy to concentrate on principles and not
on personalties. The Buddhists have a set of rules they use to
determine what are definitive truths and what are not. This can also be
a help to those that prefer to put personalities before principles. But
only if you choose to apply them. And if not, feel free to concentrate
on 'who' writes what instead of 'what' is written.
1) Do not rely on just the person but rely on the doctrine.
2) With respect to the doctrine, do not rely on just the words, but
rely on the meaning.
3) With respect to the meaning, do not rely on just meaning requiring
interpretation, but rely on meaning that is definitive.
4) With respect to definitive meaning, do not rely on just dualistic
understanding but rely on the wisdom of the direct perception of the
truth.

as far as I can tell (and you have not demonstrated otherwise):
divine = make-believe
It is your right to not like me and you are free to think about the me
as you please. But, if we are seeking to find the truth about a
subject, I find it a good policy to concentrate on principles and not
on personalties. The Buddhists have a set of rules they use to
determine what are definitive truths and what are not. This can also be
a help to those that prefer to put personalities before principles. But
only if you choose to apply them. And if not, feel free to concentrate
on 'who' writes what instead of 'what' is written.
see, that's just the problem right there, I don't give a darn about you
personally, it's your relentless rambling on and on and on about
subjects that are off-topic for the newsgroup that is the problem.
"what" you have written is irrelevant to this newsgroup.
