You're demonstrating a flaw in the ramifications of materialism,
namely, that if we are living in a mechanistic system bound by
logical laws, human beings should all follow a similar progression
of mindset as a function of time, conditioned only by environmental
factors. Yet there is no plausible set of environmental factors
which could have resulted in "Pumba". The typical response of those
unwilling to reexamine the materialistic world view is to assign a
failure to analyze organic life mechanistically as a consequence
of excessive complexity, which will be understood at some future
date, hopefully. The failure of atheism to explain where conscious
self-awareness comes from is equally absurd, relegated to some
obscure mechanism of the brain or nervous system which is not yet
understood, not recognizing that logic can never cross over the
boundary between objective and subjective, only direct seeing can,
which cannot be explained by logic. We can directly see the Richard
is intentionally, more or less, behaving in a non-rational, basically
"goofy" manner, and have no mechanistic explanation for why, and
can only speculate it is related to the defense mechanism of moths,
who are able to turn off their flight control and tumble randomly
to evade bats and carnivorous birds. Yet that is purely speculative,
and has no direct logical connection, which a mechanistic, godless/
spiritless world view demands. If we examine the problem in a more
generalized way, and try to find what Richard could possibly hope
to gain by finding "amusement", which is not rational in the first
place, in confusing you, we still can't find a mechanistic answer
because there is no sensible explanation for "amusement", except
once more to relegate that phenomenon to some obscure function of
the brain which will be understood at some future date. In the
meanwhile we can do studies to determine if amoebas have a sense
of humor.

Richard and Tim Bruening are related.
That explains a lot.

I'll um.. work on that?
It sounds a great deal like lay back and relax, and is coming from
the guy that wanted me to climb innocently in the back of his van
only days ago.
I'm just a bit hesitant, you know?
sure, i understand. you need to relax a bit first, get comfortable,
take off some clothes etc.
what would u like to drink?
I think you have the order all SORTS of wrong there.
i'm not fussy what order you do things in.
But I could appreciate a whiskey sour if you are pouring?
I have here Jack Daniels, Jim Bean bourbon, Jameson Irish whiskey, Bell's
Scotch Whiskey, Southern Comfort, Johnny Walker Red and... there's probably
some more somewhere around here.
any particular preference, or shall i just pour you a bit of each?
