your own set from such-and-such tree, consecrate them thus-and-such
way...and only use them once, because they needed the power of recent

I got my first set like that. They're nicely-made ceramic with a little
velvet bag. A bit too brittle for throwing (ask your question, pull three
and toss them on the floor or table).
If I ever get the money together at the same time as a desire to do such a
thing, I'd like to make some out of billet aluminum with the rune pattern
machined through each disc. I wonder how much I could charge for a set of
those?

That depends on where you throw them, I suppose. I haven't had any break just
from tossing them on the coffee table. The granite countertops in my kitchen
would probably destroy them in the first throw.

those?

Hmm, not sure. However, I think wiccans/pagans tend to go for more natural
materials like polished stones or clay. Cool idea though :)

I got my first set like that. They're nicely-made ceramic with a
little velvet bag. A bit too brittle for throwing (ask your question,
pull three and toss them on the floor or table).

That depends on where you throw them, I suppose. I haven't had any
break just from tossing them on the coffee table. The granite
countertops in my kitchen would probably destroy them in the first
throw.

*nod*
I've also got a set of rune-dice. Pretty neat when I was into it, but now
I'd carry them around for freaking out various fundies--"Leave me alone or
I'll invoke Futhorc and cast a spell on you!"

If I ever get the money together at the same time as a desire to do
such a thing, I'd like to make some out of billet aluminum with the
rune pattern machined through each disc. I wonder how much I could
charge for a set of those?

Technopagans might like 'em. Or I could just make them for me and let 'em
beg >:)

Should be easy enough to make--but keep in mind that they're at their most

Oh, but Ollivander has been making fine wands since 634 AD!

Tell me, would you trust a wand sold to you by a man who had aliens coming out
of his stomach? Twice!?! :}
