I've just been watching Australian animator Adam Elliot's claymation short
"Harvie Krumpet" and I have to say I loved it. The 20 minute film recently
won the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film...you may remember Adam
got a few extra claps for openly thanking his boyfriend in his acceptance
speech. If you ever get the chance to see this little gem, then do it. Not
only is it extremely funny and touching (as a born looser with Tourette's
Syndrome myself, I can relate to Harvie) it also isn't shy in sinking the
boot into religion and Christians in particular. Adam always manages to
slip in a little religious stupidity bashing into his short
films...Australians can also get the DVD of the film, which includes several
of his other award winning claymation shorts. I'm glad I took the time to
watch it.....it's left a big smile on my face. You all should see it too!
